2026 Australia Cup final rounds thread

they were ok around the 2017 era, when they had some english lads around. I recall a fight at Lambert Park with them.

These days looks like it's a lot of kids.
It's a lot younger now.

We had apparently raptor gone through houses to look for clothing possibly wore during fights lol

A lot of actual Brits and young adult wogs from St George area but everyones got older, sideline watching, families etc.

I’ll stick my neck out, just as an observer, yes there is truth to the stereotype that Sydney fc do have a notable eastern eastern suburbs, left wing/progressive following. But they have also developed a “grittier” element too particularly in the last decade or so since the wanderers were born and they were forced to develop some street smarts. I wouldn’t underestimate their potential to cause trouble on their day, they’ve been involved in their fair share of incidents over the years.
Sydney FC have been on the most active in this space despite always consisently having the least numbers involved, that is pre and post Wanderers as well from what I was told.

The progressives make the most noise but that's with everywhere, wait a couple years and you will get progressives and yuppies at Edonsor Park too.

It’s not this generation or the one before, it’ll be the new “naarmgroid” one, it’ll worsen once football goes through it’s popularity wave here again.

predication time folks what dates you reckon semi finals will take place (between September 8 & September 20).

worth note take into consideration NPL Queensland finals in Brisbane and NPL Victoria finals in Melbourne taken into account on weekends (September 11-12-13 & September 18-19-20).
also Big Blue semi final is already impacted by Melbourne Victory's involvement with AFC Champions League Two group stage opening game on Wednesday September 16th being taken into account (as Melbourne Victory are required to arrive in Hanoi by evening of Sunday September 13th under AFC Champions League Two competition regulations)

It would be unfair to either South or Preston to play an Australian Cup semi final deep into the NPL Victoria finals series.

Ideally, the semi final should be played before the NPL finals commence. Noting the scheduled dates are September 8-20, then South or Preston would be looking at playing the Australia Cup semi final between the NPL Elimination Final and Semi Final matches. That’s 3 big matches in 7 days.

Indians were making cevapis even back then?

“Communism” really done us both hard.
That raises a genuinely interesting point on perspective with nothing to do with this thread. So I will pursue it of course in the spirit of the Cup.

Can authentic effnik food be cooked by anyone using authentic methods, flavours and recipes, or does it have to be cooked by authentic effniks?

A bit tongue in cheek, but a serious question.

Very much getting into the weeds here but to defend Sydney united on this and from the perspective of someone in the industry..in this case or in restaurants etc as you scale up an operation, I dare say you’ll find the people running the operation/the bosses/the chef etc will be of the ethnicity in question/permanently on the books, and then on event days or whatever you’ll have casuals or people from a third party catering company come in and be the hands/doing the grunt work. Very rare that you’ll find the person washing the dishes at an Italian restaurant is Italian for example

imo food is only authentic when you are in said country eating locals ingredients etc.

The food needs to have the ambience and emotion of being that location.

There is nothing authentic about cooking a cevapi roll. The important element is where the cevapi comes from (in our case Ivan's Butchery, Croatian). At the end of the day it's just a small skinless sausage
