2026 Australia Cup final rounds thread

if policed correctly and organized well there will be no problems.

The biggest derbies in the world have fans, and we are worried about a few hundred people.

FFS, must be the Australian syndrome, lets just play the games "behind closed doors".

Weak.
I wouldn't say it's a weak thing to do, given how quick the media is to throw the sport under the bus (compared to AFL/NRL et) when it comes to crowd disturbances

If anything, it's a preventative measure to ensure it doesn't make national headlines (i know it wont, but better to be safe than sorry)

probably all just going to be hyperbole lol

Yet you ban Bonnyrigg fans from that little ground of yours.

Still think it's incredibly risky for the Beograd match to not be played behind closed doors - even though there will be a large security presence.

All it takes is for a bad decision from the ref or a horror tackle and this game turns ugly very quickly.

Should still be a routine victory (especially after the fed cup final win on the weekend) but there definitely is an air of trepidation
I thought we got rid of all the ethnic tensions 20 odd years ago, or at least, that is what they told us.

fencing went up around a small portion of the ground at beograd last night, looks like theyre going to heard all the siptars in there (which could be even more problematic, like caged animals.) They've also got there own entrance at the back of the ground with a heightened security presence

not sure if they'll break the ground attendance tonight, but it should be a 4 figure crowd
