Yeah thats a fair call... Clubs rise and fall with, it seems, a lot more regularity down here... Looking at VPL1 bottom table its all clubs that were playing top flight not that long ago.I recall them having a little period 10-15 years ago where they were spending a lot of money to try and move up the leagues. Such is Victorian soccer, teams rise and fall with relative frequency compared to in other states in my experience. Refer to my post the other day in the npl thread showing the nsw state league in 76’ which had many of the same clubs then as today, not as much the case in Victoria for better or worse haha. Barely any of the teams from even 20 years ago are the same. Not a dig, just an observation
Apologies if slightly off topic , but the 76 nsw and vic state leagues for reference (the last year before the nsl started)..then 15-20 years ago you had clubs like Fawkner, Essendon royals, Frankston pines etc which were up the top..I wonder why vic soccer is particularly volatile in that way..aside from certain staple clubs like South Melb which have always been there or there about etc etcYeah thats a fair call...
