Sign Up Now!Sorry, it was a nod to the meme about NPL Victoria being the centre of the universe. I wasn't looking at A-League.Sydney FC , the most successful team in national league history.
Overall NSW has won more national titles the VIC.
I think a victorian all team team for the socceroos would be beaten pretty badly by a nsw team?Sorry, it was a nod to the meme about NPL Victoria being the centre of the universe. I wasn't looking at A-League.
Happens here as well, last year Avondale were knocked out by Oakleigh. The top teams keep knocking each other out in the earlier rounds
Do you mean where Socceroos players were born? I have no idea about that. I'm just going by a decade of Australia Cup performances comparing the federations.I think a victorian all team team for the socceroos would be beaten pretty badly by a nsw team?

Yeah place of birthDo you mean where Socceroos players were born? I have no idea about that. I'm just going by a decade of Australia Cup performances comparing the federations.
Victorian clubs at home vs NSW:
4 wins, 1 draw (after extra time), 3 losses.
Victorian clubs away vs NSW:
6 wins, 1 draw, 0 losses.
Overall Victoria vs NSW:
10 wins, 2 draws, 3 losses.
I hope my numbers are correct, but that's pretty decisive.
Now for the secret herbs and spices, the coefficient!

I know the Australia Cup spots are based on the numbers of clubs in a federation, so I can't argue with that. But it really does highlight the difference in quality between federations. Victoria, daylight, NSW, daylight, Queensland and SA practically tied. WA and NNSW are so low because A) they've been shit until recently, and B) they both have two teams in the cup, so their crap performances are doubled. That's what coefficients show, which federations deserve more slots and which have too many. Victoria, even when they were granted an extra spot for 2022-24, only put the foot harder on the throat and exerted their dominance further. NSW can't touch them and the facts back it up. There isn't any argument. Even this season, APIA did well against the Melbourne City kids, but it pales in comparison to the Victorian performances.
Eventually, I'd like to see the Championship spots based on something like this. NT would playoff for entry against the next lowest ranked fed, just so they're connected to the quasi-pyramid, otherwise they'd get belted in the group stage if they're granted an automatic spot.
4 NSW wins to 3 Victorian wins in cup finals. (the part that counts)Do you mean where Socceroos players were born? I have no idea about that. I'm just going by a decade of Australia Cup performances comparing the federations.

Eh, that's a different argument really. Otherwise that's like saying the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A is the best league in the world because Brazil has the most world cup players.Yeah place of birth
Nsw probably the strongest
The coefficient will be interesting to watch after the championship. It looks like vic clubs are dominant!Do you mean where Socceroos players were born? I have no idea about that. I'm just going by a decade of Australia Cup performances comparing the federations.

You missed the part about "going by a decade of Australia Cup performances comparing the federations". Not sure that performances from 1962 should be included in the coefficients...4 NSW wins to 3 Victorian wins in cup finals. (the part that counts)

I would have said Bourbon……..My poor wife keeps getting asked where in America is she from (kentucky).
They say "oh you guys are known for" and she tries to jump in "horse racing!" Before they get a chance to say "kentucky fried chicken!"
They were not counted, only from 2014 was counted. You missed the part about "going by a decade of Australia Cup performances comparing the federations". Not sure that performances from 1962 should be included in the coefficients...![]()

All i was pointing out was that NSW were more successful in the cup, nothing else. Calm down and take a drink. Here's you're actual quote:

Never expect a Queenslander to like Sydney or NSW.Melbournites tend to cheer for qld when we play state of origin in their back yard, so i think that settles for me which of the cities is better
