I'm not sure changing points for big wins would work as dominant teams would just get even more.

Perhaps no points for a goalless draw? It doesn't award great defence against tough teams though. I don't think we should be entertaining half points either.

Some goalless draws are great viewing but most aren't.

Mourinho isn’t wrong, but his idea of “control” is outdated in modern football.

Back in his peak years, control meant staying compact, limiting chances, and winning 1–0. Reduce chaos, win the game. Simple.

You can’t eliminate chaos anymore. Teams press better than they used to, players are more multi-dimensional and game-day analytics mean chances will happen no matter what. So the best teams now are willing to take on an acceptable level of risk.

Over a full season, creating more high-quality chances tends to beat low-risk, defensive setups.

I dont follow, why is this bias? In the 80s Liverpool won 6 league titles, 2 European Cups (despite English clubs being banned for 5 years), 4 league cups and 2 FA cups... Unless Im totally mistaken, the most dominant "prime" period in the Reds history?

Though the non penalty was a penalty, the one VAR knocked back.

I misunderstood the post, that was prime Liverpool & the best team in the world at that time.

I thought you were debating that this was the best team of all time period, not just Liverpool. My bad!!!!

agree - yes shin first to me without reviewing replays.

Glad the LFC outlook got cleared, the heydays of way back then was immense and yep they were de best of the times.
Again KK71 was mainly talking about how Klopp played the game as epic viewing and great times.
LOL these greeks and their chest puffing mind you the few highs winning Euro was epic against the odds.......
