I couldn't be bothered to do threads for each separate round so any actual match talk from the Dub can go here. I'll do a separate thread for the finals when they come around.

Melbourne Victory and Canberra United played each other tonight, with the match ending not long ago. Canberra won 3–1 away from home.

Victory's Kennedy White opened the scoring before Nanako Sasaki equalised for Canberra, with the score level at 1–1 at half time. In the second half, Sasha Grove put United in the lead before an own goal from Kayla Morrison put the cherry on top for Canberra.

The win puts United in third place with a game in hand, and while Victory remain first on the ladder, the mighty Sydney FC are only a point behind them and have two games in hand.

This match had some excellent numbers watching the stream, very healthy. It was actually higher than the Victory men's match being played simultaneously!

Did not expect Melbourne Victory to lose at Home of the Matildas given how strong their squad is, but definitely Canberra United are looking like contenders to make the top six early on.

I didn't expect it either. Victory are contending for the title so losing three games out of six isn't an ideal start even though the other three games were wins.

As for the stadium, why is a 3,500-seat stadium in Melbourne that the Matildas never play at called "The Home of the Matildas"? The Matildas regularly pull over 20,000 to games so their "home" being a tiny stadium is a bit insulting. Also, unlike in England where Wembley is the home stadium for international football matches, we don't have home stadiums for national sporting teams (since we're such a big country).

Central Coast Mariners vs Newcastle Jets has been postponed due to extreme heat. It's currently 32°C in Gosford.

The men's game against Sydney FC will go ahead as normal at 7:35pm.

If it’s still 0–0 at half time we’ll have been 0–0 at half time in four games in a row (and four of the five games this season). But, we did end up winning two of those (2–0 vs Glory and 1–0 vs Mariners), so it’s clear that we’re Second Half FC.

Half time in the Adelaide United vs Brisbane Roar game, with the Roar leading 2–0 with goals from Grace Kuilamu and Bente Jansen.

Half time in the Sydney Derby, still 0–0. Come on Sydney!!!

Fuck's sake great block but that should never be happening.

Hana Lowry has returned from her ACL injury! Welcome back!!!

Fucking horrible from us. 0–0. We remain unbeaten but drop down to second.

Newcastle Jets are currently 1–0 up over Central Coast Mariners in the M1 Derby.

Looking back at the Sydney game (having got out of the stadium after we met with the players), our defence (especially Tiahna Robertson in goals) was excellent. But our attack was so trash, which is why Indi dos Santos is needed back so desperately.

Stunning comeback from the Mariners, who beat the Jets 4–1 at home after going 1–0 down.

Sydney FC lost their first game this season, losing 2–0 away to Canberra United, with goals from the league's all-time leading goalscorer Michelle Heyman and a first goal for teenager Sienna Dale. Canberra now sit first on the table while we have been bumped down to fourth.

All these new signings yet nothing changes. Ante Jurić must go.

I think the injuries have been problematic for Sydney FC this season especially with starting keeper Heather Hinz out and key players like Indi dos Santos and Shay Hollman also on the injured list, but about a third of the way through the season you would expect them to at least be contenders given the strength of the squad.
