Melbourne City ran out 2-1 winners over Newcastle Jets at Maitland Sports Ground to close out A-League Women matchday 22 and the Dub home and away season, courtesy of goals to Aideen Keane and Danielle Turner in the 72nd minute and seventh minute of second half stoppage time respectively, with Melina Ayres scoring the only goal for Newcastle Jets in the 47th minute. The result sees Melbourne City finish top of the table with the Premiers' Plate and a record of twelve wins, four draws and four losses on 40 points, whilst Newcastle Jets finish ninth after suffering their eleventh loss this year on 23 points.
