Riley Tanner scores in the 68th minute for Sydney FC to extend their lead further to 3-0. Mackenzie Hawkesby with the assist.
3–0 UP LET'S FUCKING GO!!!! I've been so glued to the screen I've barely checked my phone lol!

So proud of Willa though, if anyone deserves a goal it’s her. She’s been excellent all season and could get POTY for us, and I now even more strongly believe she’ll captain the Matildas one day and win an Asian Cup as captain. She’s the next Ellie Carpenter, I can sense it.

Three players yellow carded so far, all for fouls with Riley Tanner and Bianca Galic receiving yellow cards in the 49th and 65th minute respectively for Sydney FC, and Marianna Seidl receiving a yellow card in the 66th minute for Brisbane Roar, along with their head coach Alex Smith for an argument.

Skye Halmarick coming on in the 86th minute for Sydney FC, replacing Rubi Sullivan. Sydney FC still leading Brisbane Roar 3-0 near the end of regulation time.

Sydney FC defeated Brisbane Roar 4-0 in their A-League Women matchday 17 game to get their third win of the season and first win since November. The result sees them remain bottom of the ladder on 15 points, but they close the gap with Western Sydney Wanderers to just the one point going into their bye week, whilst Brisbane Roar are fifth on 22 points, suffering their fifth loss of the season.
