2025–26 A-League Women — regular season matches

Momo Hayashi scores again for Brisbane Roar in the 74th minute to extend their lead to 3-1, also getting her brace. Kijah Stephenson with the assist.

FC seems to have a lot of youngsters in their squad, do they sign players from various NPLW clubs for the ALW season and then release them?

Most came from other ALW clubs. And clearly it isn't working. Willa Pearson is an exception (though she didn't come from another ALW club). Can't lose Willa to cricket though, that would be a tragedy.

We may go down as the laziest sports team in history. No wins since the two in November, last on the ladder by three points, players never turn up. Yet we have such a good squad and should be pushing for the finals. Starting to think we've got some big egos on the pitch. At least Wanderers are shit because they have shit players, we're shit because the players think this is some kind of joke.

We aren't winning another game. It'll be all losses for sure. I would even bet a large amount of physical money on us losing all of our next matches. We had our best shot against the Wanderers and we fucked it. If we can't beat Wanderers then no way will we beat United, Roar, Jets, Nix, Victory or Mariners. And I expect worse next season.

Brisbane Roar defeated Sydney FC 3-1 in their A-League Women matchday 9 catch-up game courtesy of a Momo Hayashi brace of goals in the third minute of first half stoppage time and 74th minute respectively, with Daisy Brown opening the scoring for the visitors in the 9th minute. The result sees Brisbane Roar move to second on the ladder on 22 points, one behind leaders Melbourne City, whilst Sydney FC are bottom on 12 points having lost their last two games and three of their last five.

Rubi Sullivan promoted to the Sydney FC extended squad for their A-League Women matchday 16 game at home against Canberra United on Sunday, the only addition to a largely unchanged squad from the matchday 9 catch-up loss to Brisbane Roar midweek. There are no new injury concerns for the side, with those on the unavailable list already sidelined with existing longer-term issues.

Makala Woods scores in the fourth minute of first half stoppage time to put Wellington Phoenix 1-0 up against Perth Glory in their A-League Women matchday 16 game.

Mackenzie Anthony subbed on in the 56th minute for Wellington Phoenix, replacing Lucia Leon. Wellington Phoenix still leading Perth Glory 1-0 in the second half of their game.
