2025–26 A-League Women — regular season matches

Holly Caspers scores again in the 57th minute, getting her brace and putting Western Sydney Wanderers 2-1 up in the second half. Talia Younis with the assist.

I predict Sydney will sign Holly Caspers next season. Looks like we'll still be shit till Ante Jurić is gone though.
I think Sydney FC will want to bolster their forward line and bring in Holly Caspers when the April transfer window rolls around but not sure if she'll want to jump ship to a rival club even though she'll be reunited with her sister Maddie should a move eventuate.

Western Sydney Wanderers with a 2-1 win over Central Coast Mariners courtesy of a Holly Caspers brace of goals in the 35th and 57th minute of the game. They remain bottom of the ladder but close the gap with Sydney FC to just the one point, while Central Coast Mariners are fourth, level on points with Brisbane Roar and Canberra United but with inferior for and against.

A totally avoidable loss all down to poor coaching.
Babington keeps bringing on attackers when the problem is in defence.
Very easy to see the frustration from players like Gomez.

Sydney desperately need to boot Ante Jurić at the end of the month. Would honestly be happy with a draw against Victory and a win over Wanderers.

I really can't see any other problem besides the coaching. Our squad, while not as strong as it was in the 2010s, is still quite good in my opinion and should definitely be in the mix for finals. Unless I'm deluded and the squad sucks and that our older squads only won because everybody else was rubbish (I can already see some pointing fingers at Charlotte McLean for example never being a Matilda and having a really bad time in the US or Cortnee Vine being average overseas as well despite being a Matilda and a Sky Blues legend). I really don't wanna see us become like Wanderers who don't give a rat's ass about their women's team.

Still no Dani Butrus for the Glory vs City game. How long is she out for?

Tijan McKenna forced off with injury in the 15th minute and replaced by Mischa Anderson. Still scoreless between Perth Glory and Melbourne City in the first half, but Melbourne City are on the front foot early on.

Holly McNamara scores in the 20th minute to put Melbourne City 1-0 up and retake the overall lead in the Golden Boot race outright on ten goals, with Danielle Turner getting the assist.

Holly McNamara scores again in the 72nd minute, getting her brace and extending Melbourne City's lead to 2-0 as she scores her eleventh goal of the season. Bryleeh Henry with the assist.

She got a hatty last time, wonder if she can do it again.
I think it's very possible that Holly McNamara will get a hat-trick against Perth Glory again given her goalscoring form against them throughout this season, and it'll mean that she'll have scored hat-tricks against them both at home and on the road.

Holly McNamara forced off in the 82nd minute with injury and replaced by Ellie Wilson. Melbourne City leading Perth Glory 2-0 in seven minutes of second half stoppage time.

Melbourne City with a 2-0 win over Perth Glory, ending their unbeaten run of home games at Sam Kerr Football Centre courtesy of a Holly McNamara brace of goals in the 20th and 72nd minute of the game which cements their place at the top of the table, five points clear of the chasing pack of Brisbane Roar, Canberra United and Central Coast Mariners who are all level on 18 points.

Wellington Phoenix leading Adelaide United 2-0 early on in the first half of their A-League Women matchday 14 game following goals to Makala Woods in the 15th minute and Brooke Nunn in the 18th minute, with Lucia Leon and Makala Woods getting assists on both goals respectively.
