2025–26 A-League Women — regular season matches

I think we're still contenders but we're not playing well. We haven't lead at the break for the entire season and have relied on two second half comebacks to get two wins, drew the rest and then lost yesterday.
 
Also, Sarah Langman, Central Coast Mariners' goalkeeper, has unfortunately torn her ACL, adding to the need in research to understand how we can prevent these ACL injuries.

Newcastle Jets just secured a 3–0 win over then-second-placed and now-third-placed Brisbane Roar to go top of the table!

Young gun Melina Ayres opened the scoring in the 32nd minute to give the Jets before the Football Ferns' Kelli Brown converted a penalty in the first minute of first half stoppage time to double that lead. In the second half, India Breier scored in the 71st minute to seal the win for the Jets and put them top of the table.

Now underway is what should be an exciting matchup as always: the Original Rivalry between Melbourne Victory and Adelaide United! Then after that we have Canberra United against Melbourne City and then tomorrow it's Western Sydney Wanderers against Central Coast Mariners!
 
IT'S FINALLY OVER!

Melbourne City have been defeated in the home and away season for the first time in 30 matches! Canberra United go top of the table with their 2–1 home win over City! Canberra went in front with goals from Emma Hawkins and Michelle Heyman, before a Holly McNamara penalty pulled one back for City, but it wasn't enough as United got the three points and ended City's streak!

Western Sydney Wanderers likely to stay bottom of the ladder at the conclusion of A-League Women matchday 12 as they play Perth Glory away and Glory are unbeaten in home games at Sam Kerr Football Centre, but they can close the gap on Sydney FC along with the three teams currently on 10 points (Newcastle Jets, Brisbane Roar and Adelaide United) if they manage to get a win.

If we lose again I swear to God. We need Cortnee Vine back, she’s in Sydney now so surely it’s a sign the Courage let her go and she comes back to the Sky Blues.
 
Replying to FoordMustang in the ALW News thread, this is where match discussion goes. Kinda dead in here though.
 
City and Jets currently 1–1. Kelli Brown opened the scoring for the Jets, Holly McNamara equalised from the spot for City. Both goalscorers play for their national teams, the Football Ferns and the Matildas respectively.
