Robbo, mate I respect you enough to let you make your own decisions about who or what you prefer.

What I cant swallow is the stretching of the truth and the half lies that led to people who really have no idea to draw conclusions and perpetuate bullshit in order to push some twisted agenda about what our future is moving forward.

You can say whatever you want but the below is true regardless of what you say.

  • South Melbourne Hellas is NOT another country's name.... the clue is in the "South Melbourne" part.
  • Our biggest rivals are a Melbourne club founded by Greeks and one founded by Croatians, both of whom we do NOT have a border dispute with.
  • A growing larger majority of our members are NOT 1st or 2nd generation Greek Australian infact most of our new members have NO Greek heritage whatsoever... Some of the most passionate fans, and the ones who wave Greek flags in the terraces (and I can attest to that because I see them week in week out in the middle of winter when there are only a foew hunderd of us) are 100% not Greek..
You don't like it or feel a connection to it and thats fine but many many others do... By making up lies about the "effnikz" by people who should know better you enable feeble minded 20 year old half wits to come out with labels and half truths which not only hurt our chances of survival but the Aleagues as well.
Like I said, the half truths are coming from your sides too.

  • South Melbourne Hellas is NOT another country's name.... the clue is in the "South Melbourne" part. I never mentioned the name, I said the chanting of another country Hellas, hellas in a local football club in Australia, you have to understand why some Aussies may not want that for a team they support.
  • Our biggest rivals are a Melbourne club founded by Greeks and one founded by Croatians, both of whom we do NOT have a border dispute with. As someone mentioned Greeks won't follow Macedonian clubs & visa versa & likewise with Croatia & Serbia & the passion when these clubs play is high due to conflict in Europe.

Some of the most passionate fans, and the ones who wave Greek flags in the terraces (and I can attest to that because I see them week in week out in the middle of winter when there are only a foew hunderd of us) are 100% not Greek. That is great news, but see this is not what I'm into, waving National flag for an Australian club & you have to understand why many others feel that way too.

Not what YOU are into mate and like I said thats fine, but claiming its the same for the rest of Australia enables aresholes that have no idea to just assume its true.

You'd know a lot of lies & half truths, you like to play the victim & throw accusations of lack of education & racist & that there is an ethnic cleansing, every time you don't agree with someone's post.
You call yourself an Aussie Greek, but criticise (half the country still jerking off coming 11th), our last performance in the world cup, where we won as many matches as in all our previous 6th world cups put together, yeah good reason to jerk yourself, to come in the top 16 in the world like we also did in 1974 & 2006 is a tremendous effort for a non footballing nation, but no, that wasn't good because it was A-League players that created that performance.
You keep harping about no connection with 99% of clubs with A-League clubs, yet so many times I have shown that the A-League has connection (not enough I agree) with many associations around the country.
Like I said I have sympathy that your club is not in top tier of football as your club has great history, but even as you say in your post (biggest rivals are a fellow Greek team and a Croatian team), there are some clubs that are still perceived that way & I for one have explained why I would not follow a club like that, but that does not make me a racist, uneducated or want ethnic cleansing like you & your cohorts Including Sam's son) on here would like to think.
Post of The Year.

Well said mate.

Telling people who they can or can't support based on their surnames or where their parents where born and your response is "blah blah blah"? Figures, was that you marching into the senate in a burka or Pauline?

No I'm not telling anyone who they can support. I'm saying he is correct that a self identified Australian Croat would not go and support a Serbian team.

Get off your high horse.

He's absolutely correct.

No you are making an assumption based on your preconceived notions of what you think an Australian Croat would do...

Not trying to get personal but you mentioned having Croatian ancestry, would that make YOU referee a Serbian founded team differently? Or stop your or your kids playing for one, or even, heaven forbid, supporting one if your kids or grandkids played there?

We aren't int eh 1980s anymore mate... I get Robbos point of view and yours that you dont relate to these clubs, fine... but you can't state with a straight face that the people who already do don't exist, I am friends with some of them and see them every week.....

No but his brother played for South despite not having a Greek passport.
Has it ever occurred to you that every thread in here gets blown up because you come in here flapping your gums with your Anglo-hatred and playing the victim.

That tells me YOU are the problem and no one else.
