Sign Up Now!Surely your team will be in Pot 4,I think we have to be contempt with being in pot 3, if we are good enough to beat the sides in front of us then it doesn't matter.
Correct. If Turkey and/or Ukraine win their group, it would kick out France and Spain. So Australia’s relative position would not change if Turkey and Ukraine move ahead. It would make pot 4 potentially much stronger though.

Yeah that's a good point actually. I hate this fucking playoff bullshit. Just do the matches in time before the draw like we used to. There's plenty of space in the calendar for it - but no, we have to have the Who Cares Cup every two years taking up 8 matchdaysAs well as seedings it will be interesting to see the final draw mechanics in terms of pot draw order and restrictions with respect to the Inter Continental Qualifiers who won't be known as at the time of the main draw in December.
FIFA ignored the geographic constraints for 3 * IC qualifiers from 10 playoff countries for the 2023 Women's World Cup. So this saw Jamaica and Panama drawn into same group in Group F.

Two qualifiers from 6 playoff countries makes it easier to keep the geographic constraints so NA, AFC, CAF and SA teams in pots 1-3 are kept separate, basically by drawing the IC qualifiers into groups with 2 EUFA teams or 1 EUFA plus a combo of 2 from CAF/SA/AFC provided the IC qualifier draw is done before the main draw.
They didn't ignore them, they assumed the highest seeded team would win and applied that to the geographical restrictions. When this didn't happen it resulted in two CONCACAF teams in the same group. Only FIFA knows what they will do this time for the draw.FIFA ignored the geographic constraints for 3 * IC qualifiers from 10 playoff countries for the 2023 Women's World Cup. With 12 groups, I'm sure there's a way for them to do some group-skips to make it fit. Eg, the UEFA playoff groups can only go to groups that (when it gets to Pot 4) only have 1 UEFA nation in them.Teams from the same confederation could not be drawn into the same group except for UEFA teams, for which there was at least one and no more than two per group. This principle also applied to the placeholder teams, with constraints applying based on the confederation of both potential winners of each play-off tie. The draw started with pot 1 and ended with pot 4, with each team selected then allocated into the first available group alphabetically.

I don’t think there can be two Asian confederation teams (us and Iran) in one group, is that correct? Similar for two CONCACAF teams (Canada and Jamaica)?Ok with that our group of life would be Canada, Iran, Cabo Verde/Jamaica
Group of death: Argentina, Germany, Tunisia
Not sure, thats been true previouslyI don’t think there can be two Asian confederation teams (us and Iran) in one group, is that correct? Similar for two CONCACAF teams (Canada and Jamaica)?
This articleMaybe no more than 2 teams per confederation per group could work this time. I say that because facing each other at a world cup is totally different and can add to the history. I guess the knockout stages provides that. Brazil, Uruguay, Norway, South Africa would be a great group.
