Summer of Cricket thread

You guys watching the coverage.

Aussies will need to bounce back today as that pitch will be easier to bat on and we did not even reach 300 runs.
A horrible opening first 10 overs by us had India off to a flyer. By comparison, their bowlers were so disciplined, only too happy to sacrifice pace for accuracy. That it why they have been so consistently good over a long time.

One of the Indian openers is only 14 or so their officials say. But even if he is few yrs older he looks a good prospect. A big boy too and gives the ball a good whack , tho can be a touch reckless.

For those interested, the Aussie kids were hammered by India. The rot started from some atrocious strike bowling, specially Hayden Schiller, who fed the visitors freebie after freebie which gave India massive momentum. Before you could blink they had 50 on the board and not long after 100. Did nerves play a big part as this Aussie attack does not look to be at international level, sorry to say, while other than a few, neither does the batting.

Mitch Marsh turned on one of his occasional maulings to drive home the boys in bottle green.

Exciting T20 against the Kiwis tonite. Mitch Marsh got us home with an explosive century. Aussies with another Chappell/Hadlee title for the trophy cabinet.

Silk coming good late in his career with a vital ton plus Dorans 66 has pushed the Tigers to a respectable 379.

Tassie attack struggling to take wickets. Only two taken from 100 overs as the Bulls overtake the Tigers score on a AB Oval batting belter.

A bit depressing.

What a shocker from Tas!

Do you think the pitch was as flat for the Tas first dig, Baggers?

You watching Jon.
No.

Pete is! Passing on reports.

Honestly, it sounds pathetic in retirement , but I've got too much on - football replays, political events and organising, music events, social events and an exhaustive fitness regime. We have a big knockout football game live next week too - South H v Wollongong Wolves.

Plus Cricket Tas Members piss up on Saturday!

Live Shield at Bellerive on 15th Oct. Will be attending every day.
