As per Roy Ward article from Australia Cup semi final last night for The Age that winner of today's elimination final they will play Heidelberg United at Olympic Village in the NPL Victoria semi finals held next Friday Night.

Dont think it will be Friday night if its Preston.

Avondale FC v Dandenong City at Avenger Park
Heidelberg United v Preston Lions at Olympic Village (Friday Night as per Roy Ward article)
 
and won't be helped that Heidelberg United's NPLW side also have a home semi final against Essendon Royals as well already next weekend.

My understanding is the reluctance to play Preston at night due to significantly higher security costs, word last night was Sunday arvo if it was Preston and Friday night if it was Oakleigh, but we will see.

As for Oakleigh, the clubs reluctance to play in front of spectators backfired and they werent prepared for that hostile atmosphere. All the closed door shenanigans and pushes to move games away from venues that would attract bigger crowds did them in here. Hopefully a lesson the club will learn moving forward.
 
When Oakleigh smashed Preston behind closed doors Joe Guest said post game " we love playing in front of nobody" or something along those lines lol.

The Oaks commitee and coward behaviour is to blame for this.

Ita just a shame bergers v preston and brunswick city v nth sunshine will clash, have to flip a coin now ffs.

its always been like that since its been top 6.

We had to play APIA last year in the Elimination final mid week, then Rockdale on the weekend.

The Grand Final is Next Weekend.
