No-one says this anymore, do they?

The challenge is to engage the millions of people involved with the game in Oz who couldn't give a rat's about the AL.

And the only real way to do that is to unite the pyramid. If every NSL club in Oz felt themselves to be any sort of chance of making the AL then interest in the game would explode overnight.

But no... got to protect those 2034 contracts.

Build the pyramid and they will come.

Late August launch was the best time. Not sure why we started season five and six so early in August?

i don’t think it is all about connecting the pyramid, though it is important. I think more effort/resources/$$ should be directed to attracting people to watch football at their local clubs, instead of trying to force them to support 16 franchises, two of which are in NZ. For example, aim to double the crowds of every NPL club in all states..

Yep that's it. North Queensland and Gold Coast entered, we added another 6 rounds and 50 matches, then added Heart and another 3 rounds and 30 matches.

I think lower crowds is something we have to get used to going to 16 teams and 30 rounds. But early August is too early to start, it needs to be late August, either the same weekend as Premier League or the following weekend.
