Australian Dual Nationals 🇦🇺🏳️

I was responding to the question of where his heart might be, but as we know the lure of international football, if the country of your heart ignores you, can be quite strong.

Exactly, which is why for me the question of where their heart lies is a moot point, because international football is international football, and if offered the opportunity, he may snap at it, even though he feels /is Danish.

It is a weak position for us if rwb or rb so him and bennie need to be priorities even if rb isn't their first choice of position
I think the big question is whether Denmark has better depth at RB and RWB. If they do then we’ll get him. If they don’t he’ll probably play for Denmark.

I'd say Denmark has better depth compared to the Socceroos at right back and right wingback so we should be able to get him in the green and gold jersey in the future.

Anton Gaaei is a regular for Ajax
Elias Jelert is also a player with a decent resume

there doesn't seem much between the trajectory of Walker and these two providing Walker plays regularly in denmark but I think it would be easier to make the roos by a decent distance

They've got Rasmus Kristensen whose at Midtylland now but has quite a resume including leeds, eintracht, ajax and Roma. 29 yrs old. Their other right back is Alexander Bah who is the rb for Benfica. Hes 28. So its fairly locked down and you'd imagine a very young untested right back playing for the 3rd best side in Demmark is way down the pecking order at least now anyway. Time to pounce is now like we did with Souttar.

Guys why arent we talking about Markus Walker more?

19 yr old who just scored 2 goals in the Danish Superliga, in his first ever match at RM. Is nominally are CB but was used at RM this game, which is first time ever in his career. Has also played LB and RB.

Full name is Markus Walker Andersen, and plays for Denmarks under 19s.
If you do a site search for Walker there's lots of discussion about him for a guy thats been injured for 18 months. He only just returned to the bench recently with his first game back playing this week. We definitely should be enquiring. I hope the FA are aware of him.

You are a master at turning what I say into more then it is. You know what I mean they aren't playing for socceroos we don't need fo read about them in an Australian football forum
Disagree completely.

They may be "non Australians" to you but they are still Aussies to me and their careers are a reflection of our shared heritage.. Don't give a shit which nation they represent every few years.

As people they’re Aussies but as footballers they’re not. If they don’t see themselves as Aussies first then they’re traitors to the nation and I’m grateful they’re not poor cause I don’t wanna pay their taxes.

Nice that you think anyone of them gives a shit what you think abopve what the laws of this coutnry state.
Do YOU think of yourself as Aussie first? Does that mean you are a "traitor" to all the other little nations you claim to have heritage from? Pull your head in.

You're taking it out of context. On a football forum we don't need to hear about them because this is an Australian football forum where we talk about Aussies who play for the national team

Sorry matey, you called them "non Australians"
This very thread is for dual-nationals. That, in essence, is people with an entitlement to have another nationality.

I get the feeling of disappointment from those who value the national team above their clubs for some reason but its going a little far to call these young Aussie boys "traitors to the country" or "non -Australian" .. Doing so is EXACTLY the same as saying it to me or my children and thus I take exception.

Once they choose a nation they are no longer dual nationals. That makes them irrelevant to this thread. We have an Aussies Abroad thread to discuss what they do in their football careers.
Thats a VASTLY different response than calling them "Non-Australian"
