So on population alone, if Geelong has an Aleague club then Melbourne should have 17 clubs?

Plenty of those sorts of houses around the Fairfield area in western sydney.. edensor park, bossley park (where Marconi club is located) also. Fair few around the inner west nearby APIA too. A thing of beauty from another era. Brings me back to my childhood, Sunday lunches etc . I find it funny when you get newer wave Asian or Arab families buying houses previously owned by old wogs and they keep that aesthetic haha
 
Found this old thread from SM's 2008 bid. Interesting to read the opinions of it all and the other expansion options. This is the first I've heard of SM creating a new entity for it, I don't know what article they're referring to:

South Melbourne signals intent to join A-League

I think it would be a backward step to do this. The initial problem with the australian soccer league was that it was based on ethnic teams, if we bring South Melbourne in it could create problems and we dotn wanna do that. I reckon they should get another team from Melbourne but it should be...

Did anyone else’s Nonna store bread in the oven and put a doily on the washing machine?

Mine used to use old ice cream containers to store the sauce. Always great disappointment as a youth thinking there was a freezer full of ice cream only to open it and find tomato
