Spain got the job done 2-0 over France in their World Cup semi-final to advance to the final where they'll face either England or Argentina, whilst France will face the loser of the other semi-final in the third place match.
 
Think Spain covered them well.

I'm glad France aren't in another final. A bit of rotation is alright.

Saw some pre tournament bet of 2.5k on the top 6 teams to win it and you'll come out ahead regardless. I think 6.50 was the favourite and the others a bit higher.
 
France have one main weapon, which is fine when coming up against less fancied teams. Directness and the pace and power of their front line. Spain pressed in the corners and played the offside to perfection.

A French mate told me before the tournament that he wasn't that confident. He said their fullbacks were suspect, he wasn't sure they could break down teams outside of the counterattack and that they were flat track bullies; he didn't see them being able to come back in tough games. Turns out he was right on all three counts.

A better unit won against a team that relies too heavily on one or two players.

I think England and Argentina would have much preferred to play France than Spain if you asked them before this match.
