FIFA 2026 WC - general

Gaffa whinging protesting became part of the game as the game has advanced due to the many fine tune changes and worse VAR.
When your a high end gaffa with stakes so high would you sit back and cop some of today’s crap JS on the sideline ?
Unjust decisions that make or break your season.
They are gagged more and more wouldn’t you prefer known gaffas calling things out.
I sure do.
Whatever his whinging shouldn’t question the principle that thankfully a top gaffa of his stature is speaking out.
Klopp is a purest and he has stood up a lot about the OTT fixtures today and has held back a lot what fifa has implemented many of us agree with over the years.
Good on you Kloppy need more gaffas stand up speak up as well.
VAR came about due to manager's complaining about decisions and the media running with it to build up controversy.

It's true they can get shafted and a lot is riding on those calls but we hardly see a ref who accepts and even respects the ref. They're always complaining over the top when it's their own team's shortcomings that get them in a mess.

Again it’s still good people in the game calling out.
In that case especially towards fifa.

Even when it’s against them - patterns occur hence the whinging.
I would as most do and tbh it’s not OTT for they can’t without avoiding fines.

What I don't like is the incessant whinging when the ref is still right. Klopp probably isn't the worst culprit of a that.

It's the worst circle. Ref makes an error, manager won't say anything, media speculates what they think.

I believe in his principles but this guy goes against ref calls all the time and whinges. I think reverting final decisions is too far however.
And for good reason, the standard of refs and officiating have gotten worse since the introduction of VAR.

At this rate fuck off all refs and let AI control games to the pleasure of FIFA.

I recommend just looking and admiring camel toe’s :) not bad eating as well hahaha
Being a married man. I'm only allowed to have one on the menu for that.
Thoughts?
Camel meat is usually heavily spiced with cumin, paprika, harissa. Very lean and kind of like a bison burger I had in America once. You can get them in assorted locales in Sydney.

Reactions: LFC
The right of a coach to question officials and decisions is 100% necessary and appropriate - and as LFC says it is especially important when we are talking money and careers.

How they do that ranges from too bloody quiet to entitled, rude tosser.

Always important to insert a Roar reference in any thread, and Valkanis has shown the worst end of the scale at times during his tenure with us. Having someone rush the fourth official constantly to berate them and calling out at the on field ref all game is over the top and should be crushed.

Having a coach send someone respectfully (and still emotionally invested) to the fourth official over particular decisions to flag what they see as a pattern of behaviour or to ask for the rationale on a game changing decision (or lack of decision) is entirely appropriate behaviour in a sporting context.

Keep the coaches away from the ref, but maintain an avenue for them to get a message to the officials through the fourth official respectfully.

We have no doubt all been victims, either on or off the field where consistent negative behaviours are being accepted to advantage or detriment of one side more than the other in an unbalanced way. It is simple to say 'just play to the conditions on the day' but the amount any one ref allows or pulls up can produce a really unfair environment when they pay too little contact and acting, or they allow too much illegal physicality and stifle good play.

And then there are the statements outside the 90+ minutes itself, where coaches and others should have a right to speak out where something stinks in their workplace. Things that sit outside a few decisions or general patterns in play or officiating and affect the sport in a bigger way. As they say in the UK - See it. Say it. Sorted.

Important to me not to mix the game time comments with the bravery and responsibility of speaking out against things that are very, very bad things ;).

I am thinking there is no one looking over your shoulder as you bravely write that.

But she will see it sometime you know...
Absolutely my friend and as EZ mentions only one on my menu for decades - the classic look but don’t touch applies !
Nah she won’t see this - famous last words hahaha
When and IF you wonder I’m MIA you’ll have it figa ured lol
