Which socceroos will get moves from this, and what level of club?

Yeah Hannover need a keeper. Some Union Berlin discard is being sorted apparently. Don't like it.

Herrington - struggling to see the hype. Obviously composed, 18yo etc but the best centre backs have elite ability on the ball and I don’t see that yet

Volpato - absolute baller. He has something that’s severely lacking in Aussies footballers, the ability to retain possession in tight spaces. He’ll probably get a move to a top 5 Serie A side in rhe near future

Irankunda - sometimes I’m blown away, other times I’m thinking this is all one big hoax. He was atrocious v Paraguay, couldn’t even execute a simple pass. Obviously doenst help being played out of position

Beach - elite athlete but his distribution isn’t elite. Probably somewhere like Holland or Germany

Bos has that unique Athletic giftedness combined with skill that our greatest ever had in Kewell (pace and power with ball striking) Viduka (strength and touch) and Timmy (stamina and jumping with headung and volleys).

Geniunely agree i think he can play at the very very top.
 
Thinking Italiano might get a move too. Clearly has a higher ceiling than mid table Austria. Has been tracked as one of the quicker players at the world cup too. Lot of stamina up and down that touchline and rarely out of positiin defensively. Doesnt have Bos' dribbling and not quite as quick but prob a better defender.

And Okon will surely get a move. Maybe back to Benfica or a top level Belgian club.
 
Bundesliga 2 would be a good step up for Italiano. Not European access but his club probably wouldn't get there. Belgian league also a good shout.

Italiano to Belgium I like. Maybe Okon-E to his dad's old club Brugge? I have no idea if they're in the market for a cm/dm.

Would prefer him to go to a club that plays with wingbacks, although formations can quickly change if a new manager arrives. I don't know which, if any, of the better clubs play with wingbacks.

Wingback or Wide midfielder in a 442 would suit him.

Several clubs in Italy and Germany use a wingback system inc Inter and Leverkusen.

Thats not a step up.. Austrian league rated around the same as Bundi 2 as per ELO

All these guys have been rumoured to clubs for a couple of years and have always been scouted by bigger clubs. Performing at the World Cup just validates the scouting. The clubs already know all of these players well, most of the latest rumours came out before the World Cup even started. It more so helps players like Okon, Beach and Italiano who are also young and talented but hadn't kicked on like the others, as all three have higher ceilings than where they're currently playing.

I expect:

Okon, Bos, Circati, Volpato, Irankunda, Italiano, Beach, Herrington and Souttar to all get possible moves or rumours. Possibly Metcalfe. Okon, Beach and Italiano probably won't be for big clubs but will be stronger European moves. The others are all a chance to be playing in top 5 leagues very soon if not already and some specifically playing for bigger clubs.

If not now, then in the next year or two, we will head into 2030 Qualifying with a lot more pedigree and aura.

I'm also excited for Robertson to be playing in the Championship next season, feel like he's at a point to really get his name out there and become a mainstay for us. Regardless of his great performances, it was hard for him to become an anchor in this team whilst playing in League One.

This is the area where we need some quality & some more depth, Robertson, hopefully can kick on in Championship & play that Mooy role for us. Okon has the potential too, huge engines, not afraid to get stuck in, but needs to work on last pass & holding ball under pressure.
Italiano, has improved that right back position, need a little more depth, Miller & Bennie to kick on

Very excited for Sat morning & very excited for the future especially we get a few more players into the big leagues.

Agree these are our weakest positions along with CF.

Well stocked in wings, AMs, LB/LWB, CBs and GKs.
 
Irankunda and toure look a season or two away from a major step up

Herrington and okon probably fringe big five level right now, need to find the right club...

Theres no need to rush Herrington. Should stay or go where he's played.

Okon may have more time pressure but needs to find somewhere he plays. Belgium would be good.

I feel okon is more siited for a dominant team in a 2nd tier league more than a weak team in a top 5 league
 
Wouldn't mind seeing Beach going somewhere like MLS needs to go somewhere and play straight away with not too much adjustment. Can make the English move later.
