A-League transfer news/rumours

Mitch Duke is leaving Macarthur to pursue an overseas opportunity after making 15 appearances for them in A-League Men and AFC Champions League Two across half a year of service time, scoring five goals and recording four assists.

That’s underwhelming af. Literally had just one season at 3.Liga level and spent most of his career playing between the 4th and 5th tiers of German football.

Most of his career, he hasn’t registered many G/A either with the exception of the 24/25 season where he managed a ridiculous 16 goals and 16 assists in 28 games in the regionalliga

Joel King has been transferred to Brisbane Roar from Sydney FC and will be under contract at the side for the next two seasons through the end of A-League Men season 2027-28.

Whilst it is correct that room was a target for AU due to the players relationship with faber (he was 1 of 4 Dutch born goalkeepers than AU were looking at)

Room was open to the move, but I believe his agent wanted to wait for a more lucrative offer - it worked out well for room in the end, got a move to the MLS & AU signed a pretty handy GK in smits

Tate Russell is moving to Brisbane Roar ahead of A-League Men season 2026-27 and will be under contract at the side for the next two seasons through the end of season 2027-28, in addition to having been assigned the number 13 jersey.
