I said it after the Curacao friendly, when just the shackles off our players because we got that quality to hurt teams but a defensive minded system is holding the players back and unlike Turkey, the USA had the system and players to punish us.

Something to dwell post Asian Cup.
 
Irankunda and Volpato have to start against Paraguay.

In any case damage was done in the 1st half, they were quicker, won every 50/50, we couldnt handle the movement of the US players. They also missed a one on one to make it 3-0 at the start of the 2nd half. 65th minute onwards was better but we were beaten by then.

I don't think he has the quality to take us forward in my opinion, also he's a ball winner which we have enough of in this team when we need ball players especially players that can play in between the lines I would liked to see what Robertson could do but we need to find some quality in that part of the field.
 
To start Leckie and Velupillay-Popa trying to be too smart but it badly backfired.
Italiano skinned for first goal and Circati slow to cover for him.Also Beach tentatively put his left hand out but he he should have attacked the ball.
Volpato and Metcalfe looked good and need to start against Paraguay.Volpato is very skilful and can beat an opponent in one on one situations
The Seppos looked suspect in second half when we pressed them but they are physical and have plenty of quick players.
Bos did not have his best game-beaten a few times in defence and was outplayed by Dest and McKennie down that wing.
 
The only time they were down there was the Balogun break through. Had it stayed 1:0 it would've been different. I'm embarrassed and gutted.

They clearly went into game management mode after doing the damage earlier.

Popa has one last chance to show a progressive game plan.
