We've just been at both ends. We've had glorious wins, gallant defeats and horrifying losses. It's just so hard to pick a form. Every game is a treat we need to lap up.

Guaranteed is that chances will come. I'm hoping for a Netherlands 2014 style leaky defence from the USA while we tigjt

Is that before they all rocked up or after they emptied? Under 90min to go and all the fans will nearly be in given the lengthy checks. Best get in early.

Tony Popovic has replaced both Nestory Irankunda and Connor Metcalfe in his starting XI for the clash with the United States.

Mat Leckie and Nishan Velupillay come into the XI as both goalscorers from the win over Turkey go to the bench.

Could be a good thing to bring on Irankunda and Volpato later on but could be too late. Irankunda needs as many opportunities as possible. This is going to be a tough watch. That is a park the bus and try not to concede for the first 60 minutes type team.
 
Yeah OK this isn't so bad as Leckie can also go midfield work and allow Italiano to go forward. In the Velupillay can roam across the front 3.

A bit unexpected but there's clearly a plan. Velupillay has clippable legs.

That's the risk. If we conceded we start panicking and need to get the firepower on sooner. USA then sitting deep is much harder to break.
