This throws an interesting spanner in the works. If Cape Verde can beat Saudi Arabia then the 4 points would clearly have them advance and one 3 point spot disappears.

I was still going for Cape Verde. If we can't find 1 point against either USA or Paraguay then we don't deserve to go through

I'm not so sure given how tight the group is but draws seem inevitable too. Ecuador got totally smashed by one late goal. We may find even with the third places that decent teams just miss out. The tournament must get narrowed down to start sorting out the real contenders from the also rans.

That's probably because the media and political bubbles have their own agendas to push whereas the majority of people want to enjoy sport and life. The tournament has been great so far with a lot of cultural exchange and is without incident.
