World Cup 2026 Australia thread

The second France goal came from Atkinson. Behich started the back pass for the Ryan error when he had Mooy just ahead of him.

The second France goal also came from Irvine asking for it then just sending it away to Atkinson. Souttar was essentially at the corner flag.

While going long turns over possession too I'd rather just clear danger than try this risky stuff.

who kicked this ? Pogba or Behich ?

The pressure and nerves can do weird things to some players. Not saying its bad quite natural.
With all his experience you would hope he plays really well this WC

Basheer when Metcalfe scored: oh why?

Ha I agree. Didn't seem real. Maybe how?

Look at the fans with the reporter. No other event does that. A League and the clubs need to be at these events with info and stands and get people signed up. A lot of the players out there got their start in the A League.

Really curious to watch Japan v Netherlands.

Anyone else feel like Japan finally get their serve as far as Group stage difficulty finally lol
suck it
Japan have won their last three matches against European opposition though so their World Cup group stage opener against the Netherlands should be a close game but they'll definitely be ruing the loss of Wataru Endo to injury.
