Except for letting USA and Australia do whatever they like for a couple decades hahaIt is article 9 of fifas by laws
They do have some caveats that seem to be written to give australia and usa indefinite time towards achieving that goalExcept for letting USA and Australia do whatever they like for a couple decades haha
The ten clubs in the championship play each other four times a season. Been this way with ten team leagues in Scotland since 1975-76. It is not a snoozefeasty as you would think.I don’t know exactly how it works in Scotland with the 10 clubs but I think it’s something like home and away and then the league splits into top and bottom half and they play each other again. But that only really works if relegation is in play
Mexico has had a closed league since like 2020They do have some caveats that seem to be written to give australia and usa indefinite time towards achieving that goal
in fact we had a pod on it with a mexican football journalist!Mexico has had a closed league since like 2020
Mexico only suspended promotion and relegation on a temporary basis and transitioned to a closed league until the end of this season, with promotion and relegation to be reinstated from next season onwards.Mexico has had a closed league since like 2020
Just watched the football Australia AGM YouTube clips Anter Isaac has mentioned the championship will be going ahead this year
I’m pretty sure they had a rule where if the men’s team goes down, the women’s does too. They should scrap that, it’s not fair that if the men’s team are shit the women’s team have to go down too regardless or vice versa.Mexico only suspended promotion and relegation on a temporary basis and transitioned to a closed league until the end of this season, with promotion and relegation to be reinstated from next season onwards.
I agree, I just want it started as full home and away.. Dont even care if it slike Scotland or Swiss or Greek league where everyone plays each other an even amount of times... as long as there is sporting integrity and NO lopsided draw.Need a least 30 rounds in our top divisions.
The groups were already announced this time last year if they could release them soon it will give the competition a bit of a buzz and maybe the qualifying teams a kick up the ass to get thereIt was always going ahead. it was locked in for two years at a mimimum.
Issue is and why everyone is so nervous is because the lack of communication and the current FA financial losses.
Infantino just said how great the championship is uniting old soccer and new football, if anything that's just forced the FA's hand to keep this competition going.
Speaking to one of our club reps last night they expect comms in june / july.

Nothing quite as rewarding as knowing that the FA learnt from last years debacle and implemented all the necessary fixes to the glitches from the inaugral season...... hahahahaThere is a world cup in two weeks.
nothing will be announced till after it in my opinion.
I hold out slim hope that they use the buzz of the world cup to make some announcements about the Championship either during or shortly after Australia's campaign ends. Lots of extra interest and eyeballs and it wouldn't take attention away from the Socceroos. But it's Football Australia, so they likely haven't thought that far ahead! There is a world cup in two weeks.

Dare say based on previous the afl are more likely to have big announcements pencilled in to coincide with the World Cup that the fa areI hold out slim hope that they use the buzz of the world cup to make some announcements about the Championship either during or shortly after Australia's campaign ends. true this, their media machine will release some kind of next season headline/s or whatever but whilst the Roos are going through our Grp stage nothing will be more sporting news than WC Roos.Dare say based on previous the afl are more likely to have big announcements pencilled in to coincide with the World Cup that the fa are
