A-League Mens 25/26 - Semi Finals

Auckland’s big game experience showing here, Adelaide looked underwhelmed as well but Auckland have made Adelaide uncomfortable in this game.

Regardless of what people think of their uncompromising style of play they will be dangerous going into the grand final they mentally and physically a strong team.

Auckland FC have definitely improved in leaps and bounds with regards to their big game experience since last season and are going to be a dangerous side come the grand final.

man Adelaide would have a right to be aggrieved, a soft pen after a bunch of professional fouls just ignored by the ref
The refereeing style is certainly suiting Auckland more than Adelaide’s technical style, I think it’s something I like to see improve next season is protect the skilful players more I feel the current ref style favours the physicality more which I get given Jon Moss is from the UK where it can be quite physical but we trying to improve the level here so protecting the skilful players is important .

Auckland into the grand final just as I predicted, Now its SFC turn.
I think it's more likely that we get a grand final between Auckland FC and Newcastle Jets but definitely Sydney FC will have a lot of fight in them and are going to try and force extra time.

In the end corica came with a simple game plan

play with a high line to nullify Adelaide's technical game and if you are beaten, rugby tackle them. Since the ref allowed the rugby tackle there was no risk in a high line and adelaide just had no avenue to get into the game.

I guess the down side of adelaide having a foreign coach is he didn't realize how much the ref lets stuff go during the finals

without p&r its the only time there is something at stake so I'd love to see the finals be a bit more technical, but i suppose commercial considerations play a role here too. The finals draw a lot more casual fans who are used to the physicality of nrl and afl?

Lol- Adelaide's "foreign coach" came to Adelaide 30 years ago. He has even played in the NSL.

Feel sorry for Adelaide supporters and the city in general because they're the only ones that consistently take the A league seriously (even when they arent going well). They deserve more than just 1 championship.

Sadly they dont have the steel of those great Zoran Matic Adelaide City teams from back in the day.

It’s something that has frustrated me with the Aleague the last few seasons. All it does is stop the smaller, more technical and entertaining players in the game.

It makes little sense for A-league coaches to recruit short-ass South American players that have a tendency for theatrics. Like Quispe. He has been manhandled all season

It would be interesting to see why they favour this refereeing style, given the aleague was already a physical league.

Is it because of egg ball influence? Who knows.

This is exactly how they played against Sydney FC when we saw them. The refs allow them get away with it. Auckland are a disgraceful football club.

Auckland v SFC grand final cuming up! For the good of the game in NZ and Australia this match has to happen. SFC will win by way of VAR and Auckland by way of a Fluke goal.
The FA haven't told the APL however like me they believe NZ team's are parasites on the Australian football ecosystem. If the FA were still running the league Auckland would have never gotten this far.

For the good of world football an Australian team has to win an Australian football competition.
