A-League Mens 25/26 - Semi Finals

Some of our "stars" had faulty sparkplugs last night. Taylor and Dobbo being taken off tells the story. I think Millsy was a bit pissed off with a few players last night. I thought it probably our worst game so far, but my memory ain't what it used to be

Eli Adam’s was pants! Had his moments in the 2nd but it was like his head just wasn’t in the game. Maybe back home
In Newcastle he can find his feet and deliver the goods.

On Facebook I noticed people asking for tickets to the Adelaide game. Is it sold out? I think it can only hold 17k but at the olympics (2000) they got a crowd just over 18k.

Good game on Saturday night. Sydney look more focused and organised under Kisnoobo that under Talay it seems to me that Kisnoobo has recognised that Sydney's front 3rd isn't all that great and has set up his team accordingly. Both teams went for it so a very entertaining game for the fans. Newcastle's goal was a classic counter that ripped Sydney apart so something for them to consider next week and Sydney's goal just a plain old defensive fuckup by Newcastle that Stama seized upon. Newcastle probably have the advantage at home next week as every swinging dick from Newcastle to Coffs Harbour will probably be the game however Millsy would still be concerned and Newcastle by their standards weren't great however lucky for them Sydney's front men are average.

I'd say it was a classic case of the week off being a curse rather than a benefit for the Jets. Jets will be stronger next week, but SFC are tough to score against. There is a reason they only conceded 25 this season. Both sides struggled to get any meaningful shots on goal. The shots that were made were usually easily saved or off target. I'd say SFC had the better of the opportunities but the lack of form in finishing was evident. This season the Jets regularly had defensive errors resulting in goals. They are not a clean sheet side. Could be there undoing against a better prepared SFC.

Hindmarsh can pack 15-16k at the most.
At the 2000 Olympics capacity was increased to 19.5 k by errecting temporary stands to fill in the corners. They will never do that again.

Just checked out tickets for both matches and yeah Adelaide is sold out but the Jets game has oceans of seats left. Cheapest I could find was next to a pole for $40 bucks, wot a rout.

You must be on benefits if you think $40 for a semi final is dear.

It's only Monday. People tend to buy things at the last minute as they know what their plans are.

Rubbish, ticket sales for the Jets game look very good. It seems to me like it will hit or come very lose to capacity of around 25k. Mid last week it was announced that more than 16,000 tickets had been sold, and they have sold quite a lot more since then.

Eastern Stand - Only Sydney away fans tickets left, maybe around 400.
Southern Hill - Sold out
Western Stand (lower) - Only a few hundred tickets left in each of the corners.
Western Stand (upper) - The end bays are really only left, so I would assume under 1,000 tickets left.
Northern Hill - Not sold out, not possible to tell how many sold. Given the level of sales elsewhere in the ground, I doubt there would be too many left.
