The Australian National Football Team General Discussion*OFFICIAL*

Our backline probably the best shape it's been since 2006. Barring no more injuries and Souttar getting back into the mix with no more setbacks. Herrington coming into the picture. Etc. Circati a regular in the Seria A. Great stuff, hopefully getting even better.
it would actually be a pretty close call between

-italiano-souttar-circati-bos

and

-wilkshire-neill-moore-chipperfield

rest of the pitch of course the gg wins by some margin

If Younis and Melbourne City have a good final series is he a smokey for the final squad given that he should be in the enlarged squad.?
I think he is a good chance

There are 2 places for mabil, kuol, vellupilay, younis, arzani, boyle and hrustic

To me the two are Younis and Kuol. Younis i really rate and Kuol is the ultimate chaos agent to come in and stretch defences with 15-20 when chasing a goal. He may not score or assist (which he may) but he creates the space for others to thrive

I really like Younis and I think he has a bright future and impressive playing qualities. I do worry about the step up for A-League wingers to bigger leagues or the National team. They get a lot of space here and there is a lot of transition moments which suit them, and I think make them look good, perhaps better than they would be with tighter defences.

I bet he's eligible for Australia somehow.
It appears he’s eligible for four countries, but Australia is not one of them. Born in Belgium, is mum is Kenyan and his dad is Congolese and Malagasy. Surprised the relatively crap team of Madagascar haven’t capped him yet, would be useful for them. Maybe King Julian doesn’t know much about dual internationals yet lol.
