Very happy tne Thompson and Hughes have been named as starting props.

I will be happier if they both start.

Critter and Curran back in the extended squad. I doubt that Critter will play.

Expect the boys to win solid . Hopefully not a limp in win . Eels will be out to play this week , not a club that likes to be booed by their fans ..

I recon the start of the match will be important, Thompson and Hughes starting together is worth trying.

I expect the Eels to be determined and to try to start fast. If we can match or better that, they might fall away.

The long turnaround also helps because we put a lot into the Panthers game.

No easy games in tne NRL, but i am confident we can win most games.

Foran the magic coach.. Has done a great job turning the team around . Does not usually work out when a new coach comes in during the season but the Manly players seem to have responded well .. Turbo will be a big loss for them .

Manly players have had a major improvement in attitude, the change is more about motivation.

I rate our win over Manly last year aa one of our better wins under Cirro. Manly were down a few key firwards and Haumole was playing injured..

On current form, Dogs V Manly would be a great contest.

Bryenton has apparently left the club at least for a while.

Cocherane definately has the talent to be a top fullback but his game needs more work.

Puru is also a great talent but is probably further away the Cocherane.

While Bulla is exactly what we need, i can't see us signing him and I hope that he stays at the Tigers.

Re-signing Tracey was a smart move, we do need to develop or sign a better fullback, but there is a lot of competition for the good fullbacks.

I hope that we can get Btyenton back one day, he is an elite talent. But he was even further away than Putu.

Seeing Tracey, Cocherane and Puru might have convinced Bryenton that earning the NRL fullback position at the Dogs was a 3-4 year project.

We need a young guy with the talent, but also a guy with patience who is prepared to learn, and prepared to earn the spot.

Howver, sometimes things just don't work out and it is no one's fault.

I moved to Sydney at the same age as Bryenton, and I loved it.

Plenty of young Kiwi kids move to Australia around age 15 with the dream of playing NRL and sometimes things just don't happen.

If Tracey is injured we should try Cocherane or Tuala.

We might need to sign a lower grade fullback from another club.

Eventually Gus will sort it, we also need to be patient.

Tuala out Curran in centres ( interesting selection .:
Will not be an easy run Eels will be out to play hard . It's the 1986 GF tribute game for them .
I remember I'm old enough to be lucky to have seen the club wiin a few in the 80s and make a few 90s grand finals as well. Hope the younger guys get a chance to experience the Bulldogs win a few grand finals in the future .

We gifted them 3 soft tries off fumbled kicks and players not covering.

Curran in the centres and Montoya on the wing was a mistake.

We might have had some bad luck, but the team selection was wrong.

Still not terminal, but 2 valuable comp points dropped.

Thinking the same Montoya And Curran times have come to an end . Injuries didn't help but Eels had their fair share as well .
After that first try we just didn't carry on seemed to have stopped at that point thinking game was over .
Hopefully CC can get the team on track . Will not be easy against Broncos .

Hopefully Critter comes back at right centre, i would have Rinakama and Sua on the wings if Kiraz and Tuala are out.

One problem I have noticed this season is we don't always seem switched on.

We seem to be a bit cocky and over confident this season.

Deep into that game our team thought throwing the ball around would let us get a soft win.

Montoya barely looked like a reserve grader, Tracey is a fairly poor attacking fullback.

Galvin, Preston and Hayward are doing their job, Xerri was very good and should play left centre for the rest of the season.

Burto and Kicks ok, fairly forgettable game for the rest of the team.

Our lack of pace, lack of anticipation and poor positional play was very apparent. We need more class and speed in the outside backs.

It was an interesting selection indeed Zoz. Theuselrss cagina single handedly list us the game.

Going by the press conference Critter might be back . Thompson didn't have the best debut but hopefully that is the worse we see off the team .

Thompson was always going to need a few weeks.

Tuala and King were a big part of our win over the Panthers.

I missed the first half.

Reserve grade and Flegg had good wins, perhaps some of our young players are pressing for an opportunity?

The comp is too even to not turn up, everytime we have had a poor attitude we have paid the price.

Some players are too slow, make too many errors, miss critical tackles, and offer little in attack, our worst players do all of the things.

Cirro responded by dropping O'Sullivian, sometimes dropping players is the right move.

Toups is always a bit suspect in defence but offers plenty in attack.

The poor performers this game seemed to be Montoya, Curran and perhaps Tracey.

Attitude can be fixed, but speed, skill, game instincts and class can't be fixed.

Dropping players is part of fixing attitude, and improving the team.

In all 3 of our losses we had had at least one half with a poor attitude, errors, lapses in defence, and some players looking like reserve graders.

3 games like that in a season is more than enough.

Everytime Cirro has gambled of funky team selections it has been a disaster. Twice is also more than enough.

The players are getting to cocky and need fix their attitude. Cirro also needs to stop making excuses and get the team selection and bench roation right.

We need to start picking young guys with the potential to improve the side. I'll cop a few errors from a young guy lime Sua, with class, speed and potential.
