Ella Lincoln and Mischa Anderson coming on in the 69th minute for Perth Glory, replacing Megan Wynne and Gabby Hollar respectively.

Sign Up Now!Brisbane Roar managing to recover from their injury crisis and the loss of Leia Varley but had to get the job done against Perth Glory without Marianna Seidl, who was serving a one-match suspension after retrospectively receiving a second yellow card in their A-League Women matchday 20 game against Newcastle Jets last week.Looks like the Roar are finally recovering from their injuries and Leia Varley leaving.
They might escape the ignominy of winning the spoon!THREE POINTS!!!!!!! AUSTRALIA IS SKY BLUE!!!!!!
How many Panamanian players do you know?2–1 UP THE SKY BLUES!!!! RILEY TANNER THE PANAMANIAN GOAT!!!!
Sydney FC now second from bottom following their 2-1 win in the return leg of the Big Blue and can only win the spoon if Western Sydney Wanderers defeat Wellington Phoenix away in their last game of the season, and they lose to Central Coast Mariners at Polytec Stadium next week. They might escape the ignominy of winning the spoon!![]()
All quite possible.Sydney FC now second from bottom following their 2-1 win in the return leg of the Big Blue and can only win the spoon if Western Sydney Wanderers defeat Wellington Phoenix away in their last game of the season, and they lose to Central Coast Mariners at Polytec Stadium next week.
Lol I know of their captain Marta Cox (who was actually born in Panama City despite her Anglophone surname). Plays for Fenerbahçe. Threatened to never play for Panama again after being called "fat" by the grub who ran the federation. How many Panamanian players do you know?
Wellington Phoenix have only lost at home to Melbourne City and Central Coast Mariners though so it'll be a tough ask for Western Sydney Wanderers to get the job done tomorrow. All quite possible.![]()
Making finals in season 2026-27 should be doable for Sydney FC given that Indiana Dos Santos will have returned from her injury by then and no doubt continue to make waves as the 17th-best wonderkid in the world. We need to at least make finals next season.
Who is to blame?Regardless of how we look at it, this season has been a disaster. The highest we can finish is second last since the Jets won today. Good squad, bad results. Annoyingly we’ve come close in a few and had so many 0–0 draws but we haven’t been able to win games. At the start we couldn’t score, then Ante Jurić got sacked and replaced by James Slaveski as interim, then we couldn’t defend. Midfield has been shocking too.
Next season we have to actually attack and defend at the same time. We’ve got a clean slate next season, start from scratch and rebuild. We need to at least make finals next season. We need to rebuild back to our days of glory and success, starting with making finals, then winning domestically and then winning in Asia.
Defence was fine till we tweaked it. Today we played five at the back apparently but it doesn’t look like Charlotte McLean played well which was always a big worry for me. Hopefully it’s just her readapting to the league.Who is to blame?
You say they couldn’t defend and midfield was ‘shocking’, didn’t score many goals either. They changed coaches but still couldn’t win so the problem seems to be quite deep.
I’m not having a go just wondering what has caused the fall from grace.
To be fair Sydney FC have also been struggling with an injury crisis throughout the season where they've been without key players for most of the year, and it's likely Sarah Hunter, Maddie Caspers and Hana Lowry won't be getting any more game time this year, along with Indiana Dos Santos who will most likely miss the entirety of Dub season 2025-26.Defence was fine till we tweaked it. Today we played five at the back apparently but it doesn’t look like Charlotte McLean played well which was always a big worry for me. Hopefully it’s just her readapting to the league.
I would say whoever plays as striker, usually Jodi Ülkekul, hasn’t been good enough, and midfield hasn’t been good either. Sarah Hunter came back from Paris FC in quite poor form. I don’t know, something isn’t working. They seem to get along so I don’t know.
