Max will be in GT3/WEC next year or the year after. Apparently re-writes to the regs will be looked at after Miami (given the cancellations of the two Middle East that were supposed to be coming up), and to be honest, if they're not substantive, then Max will be out the door to F1

Until there's a merger/joining forces with Formula E (which will come sometime in the next 30 years - maybe sooner), F1 shouldn't be doing full/large amounts of electric power. Not to the sense where once the electric boost/power has run out or allowance exhausted that cars are slowing down massively (and in some cases dangerously) on the straights, or leading to dangerous placements on race starts. The last regs had a good balance of electric power and usage, and while it may have made sense to simplify in the sense of only one battery recovery unit now compared to two (with the removal of the 'Heat / MGU-K' system), it just makes the racing look like a joke.

Do you motorosport guys think there will be any backlash against F1 considering the world is experiencing global fuel shortages and millions of people in Africa/Asia might starve because of lack of fuel supply while rich nations use fuel for recreation?
 
Nope - nothing mentioned whatsoever from all my viewing.
I expect if you searched into woke/green SM they would be beating their drums of war against elitist sports who fly private jets left right centre - whereas the cars like as always are the new tech that ends up in the general motorcar we all buy.
Hybrid yaddayadda.....
Yet those same green hippocrites book OS travels.
I agree mate on the world poverty - those very billionaires with vast portfolios could support and reduce alot of suffering nations lacking basic resource etcetc......
By the way re F1 and all its massive $ - I don't like where its going having been taken over by a American company called Liberty.
They also bought motogp, they are full on capitilists - they are the netflix model only looking to expand both massively in the USA only about the $ - the DNA of both sports are going to washed down.
Got a funny similar tune to MLS - commercialism, its not about the actual sport but leverage the $, broadcast deals/sell out events.

F1 is going down the shitter. Going to give Formula E another spin this weekend (double race weekend in Berlin - live on Stan)

When Formula E does Monaco better than Formula 1 - you know something is fucked.

The issue with F1, to me at the moment, is the automation of this new hybrid setup. It should be all manual - or at least a specific setting that is set before the race. Formula E, for all it's shit, at least it's automated boost systems are essentially binary - on/off. F1 with this phased deployment and charging is just dangerous.

Change is a given - I imagine the horse and cart gens hated the motor car introduction.
