Max will be in GT3/WEC next year or the year after. Apparently re-writes to the regs will be looked at after Miami (given the cancellations of the two Middle East that were supposed to be coming up), and to be honest, if they're not substantive, then Max will be out the door to F1welcome MCG to the car game

Until there's a merger/joining forces with Formula E (which will come sometime in the next 30 years - maybe sooner), F1 shouldn't be doing full/large amounts of electric power. Not to the sense where once the electric boost/power has run out or allowance exhausted that cars are slowing down massively (and in some cases dangerously) on the straights, or leading to dangerous placements on race starts. The last regs had a good balance of electric power and usage, and while it may have made sense to simplify in the sense of only one battery recovery unit now compared to two (with the removal of the 'Heat / MGU-K' system), it just makes the racing look like a joke.
