Sign Up Now!It's really only an advert to get subscriptions.Stan on Youtube is dreadful. 2 minute clip and only 55 seconds of it is football.
I don't think it does what it is intended. It's really only an advert to get subscriptions.
I was surprised to see that they get hundreds of thousands of views. I'm guessing it's mostly overseas viewers.Stan on Youtube is dreadful. 2 minute clip and only 55 seconds of it is football.
I think there's a lot of people who just don't want to pay extra for unnecessary stuff. There's also situations where people leave early for work and want to watch the highlights during lunch and such.I was surprised to see that they get hundreds of thousands of views. EPL are really trying to KeepUp here.

if KeepUp actually did that, it would probably still be around.
I'm actually quite surprised FIFA+ is still free and that they aren't trying to market that to be the place to watch World Cup games live. Maybe they're waiting until next cycle. OFC qualifiers were already on there.
I find it so hard to watch YouTube on my TV now with the ads. Thankfully mobile app and website isn't as bad with ads yet.'Free' at the moment. Just like everything was 'free' in the beginning.
Youtube now is practically unwatchable with the amount of ads they jam in. Streaming services with ads too.
And they wonder why piracy is on the rise again.
While I dont disagree with you just an observation about how impatient we have all become these past 5-10 years... If I had said to you, 20 years ago that you can watchANHTHING at ANYTIME and add breaks were only every 10 mins or so and ONLY last 50 seconds (and that you can mostly skip them) you would have called me crazy and gone back to pressing pause on the VCR so you can skip taping the commercials for the movie you are taping for your colelction.....I find it so hard to watch YouTube on my TV now with the ads. It's a good point - but focuses more on the enshittification of products and services. Of course, money talks and creeps its way into things, but online TV/videos/YouTube were marketed as a way to escape that sort of thing. While I dont disagree with you just an observation about how impatient we have all become these past 5-10 years... Now, on mobile apps and on my computer, it doesn't seem an issue. TV app though is... seems a bit of overkill, even compared to normal TV ads. It would be interesting for me to time the duration of ads if I was to watch a replay on YouTube of a WWE show (they have a quarterly show that's on YouTube in Australia), compared to say... an hour of the news or something. It feels like YouTube have them more frequently, specifically when watching on a smart TV.

Premier League is quite popular in Singapore and it would make sense for them to launch their new streaming service there first given that they have the Asia-Pacific office based there.![]()
‘Premflix’ app to screen all Premier League matches live – but only in Singapore
The Premier League is to launch its own streaming service, with live coverage of all 380 matches over a season direct to fans – but only if you live in Singaporewww.theguardian.com
