Sign Up Now!A lot of the LFC fans following LFC precisely because of Johnston.Sorry grazor, Craig Johnston, Newy people would know. He has God status around here, so you just say Jonno and everyone knows
Peacock has become a bell end since he got punted by Fox.yes mate I know
He's a invested punter like us better still he's a good journo imo and talks the talks - my comment just a journo because some would expect one from a higher standing or background would have more cred for eg.......I can imagine those reddit or roar would think otherwise.
A lot of other highly credentialled Aus coaches, with heaps of coaching accreditation and experience on the ground, have gone to FIFA Conferences too.FIFA have endorsed a few things Johnston has done, he's been to plenty FIFA conferences with alot of support, whereas here he's given up passing on his knowledge/experience for free - no one wants to even listen or take it in from way back for exactely what you have posted above someguyfc prevails.
All sizzle - no sausage. TBH with what he showed 8 years ago I think his time has been and gone. Another Caceres, beat the same man three times and then lose the ball or shoot from distance.By the time I finish watching all the AL games, the next round is up on here!
Really enjoying having flashy Arzani back in the AL!
Teague is getting back to where he was last year with MV.
I'm sure Farrell will progress soon at WSW too.
Most Aus football fans think it is paramount that all players go overseas, but for different reasons, some players go backwards if they don't get into starting line ups, or/and, suffer injuries.
Or like Jake Hollman, waste his career by going to a lower standard league than the AL.
will get a random call up in a key world cup qualifier when he is in his mid 30s thenAll sizzle - no sausage. TBH with what he showed 8 years ago I think his time has been and gone. Another Caceres, beat the same man three times and then lose the ball or shoot from distance.
Are you talking about Arzani? All sizzle - no sausage. TBH with what he showed 8 years ago I think his time has been and gone. Another Caceres, beat the same man three times and then lose the ball or shoot from distance.
obviously they have - none would have a iota of his experience ON the pitch and the coaching guidance throughout his career mind you.A lot of other highly credentialled Aus coaches, with heaps of coaching accreditation and experience on the ground, have gone to FIFA Conferences too.
Its common knowledge transferring from player to coach is hit and miss - nothing new there nor is change/evolution.To the best of my knowledge, Craig J has done no senior -pro coach education. Good players aren't necessarily good coaches, plus trends constantly evolve in football.
So, you think to rest on "qualifying" means don't listen or take in some intel that may enhance/improve - didn't you mention above re trends constantly evolve - check got it.Also, Aus has recently qualified for 6 successive World Cups 2006 - 2026. Aus previously struggled to qualify for the WC for 32 years - from 1972 to 2006.
means - desperation I agreewill get a random call up in a key world cup qualifier when he is in his mid 30s then
I think patj does mean your flashy DA.Are you talking about Arzani?
Roderick Miranda, wrote in an article last season, DA is the most natural footballer Aus has.
I'm biased. Miranda isn't though.
I love flashy players, but DA has a very high level of skill. His workrate off the ball is now good too, plus he is comfortable operating in little time and space and penetrating compact defences.
Until Luke Vickery, from Mac, did it a few weeks ago, Arzani is the only Aussie I've seen beat an opponent executing the Elastic, a very dificult dribbling technique - which can be devastatingly effective.
I'm not saying that Johnno's views lack any merit at all.obviously they have - none would have a iota of his experience ON the pitch and the coaching guidance throughout his career mind you.
Its common knowledge transferring from player to coach is hit and miss - nothing new there nor is change/evolution.
Some of the most successful from any field didn't have "creditation" "degrees" etc some people should "open" their minds thinking you got to be in X "box" for approval.
So, you think to rest on "qualifying" means don't listen or take in some intel that may enhance/improve - didn't you mention above re trends constantly evolve - check got it.
I totally agree that DA's goal scoring is poor for a winger. No argument from me.I think patj does mean your flashy DA.
I agree with him if I read the repsonse right.
No doubt he has good close ball skills, patj is right for all the flair the return should be better for this kind of attacking player.
His shooting ability on target is ordinary, he over cooks many a run, for attacking player - correction he's down as a Winger/Attacking Mid officially.
Goal return is sub standard - sure he isn't a striker but an attacking mid/winger at least rack up 5/6/7 a season especially with his ability playing in AL against Jnrs post covid.
I checked just now for your stats hunger - 117 Snr games for 13goals.
I suppose looking "natural" gives him cred compared to the countless "worker" types here.
A crowd of only 15,000 shows that soccer runs a very poor second to the NRL in our region. Real footy starts this weekend. Go Knights.
well, you did due to him not having any creditation - I'm just saying its not the be all end all to "listen" from someone who has farfar more runs/cred from the pitch easily compared who you quote above for eg....I'm not saying that Johnno's views lack any merit at all.
However, I know 2 coach educators who gave Craig Foster his coach education in advanced C Licence, B Licence, etc. CF was a very good student and was absolutely blown out with what he learned. He kept saying, 'I didn't know it was like this?'
So a Craig Foster, Phil Moss, Arnie, Muscat, Okon, Ange, Popa, Vidmars, the Aloisis, Veart, Milligan, Jukic, Kisnorbo, etc, have both - a pro playing career - and - have coached at a high level for a while, and, have also undergone a great deal of coach education - partially like a tertiary education degree.
