I think thats a good post and I'm a little bit like that too....

I'm 'English', carry a British passport and have to admit in similarity to you that I'm not particularly patriotic in the 'English identity' sense.

Being half Irish (mother) and quarter Scottish/quarter English(dad) is probably why.

I also carry an Irish EU passport and am married to an Australian. It's a right old mix and I think half the world right now would have similar mixed heritage or citizenship from multiple countries, and quite often overlapping with mixed-race or multi-ethnic backgrounds.....

Add in a partner with a difference in heritage and the pursuit of national identity seems lame!



I do however love the English national football team. Love them indiscriminately....

I thought there were a decent number of tourism offering for indigenous sites? You're right it's not the level of the European ones. Minimally it could be to do with geographical isolation but there should be a best possible set up for these sites.

Well homelessness has risen in Australia. Living standards can be amazing for ALL if people are struggling to pay bills, or having to make choices between food and medicine. If people can't afford rent or basic groceries, then living standards can't be great.

So something needs to be done about it, and both Labor and LNP don't give a shit about it. But as we've seen in America, the right really don't. They keep enriching themselves. Tax billionaires and make the rich pay their fair share.
