Anyone watched The Chair Company? Latest episode was wild

If you already have Paramount, there are a couple of shows I enjoyed watching.
Tulsa King(which has already been mentioned earlier) Sly Stallone as mafia capo given Tulsa to run.
Landman, Billy Bob Thornton, as the the Mr fixit boss in the USA oilfields.
Mobland, Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Hellen Mirren, title says it all.
Make sure the Kiddies aren't around, lots of swearing

Last one of Tulsa was on today.
Wasn’t a bad series.
Landman is way better good viewing imo.

Surprised something like this was even allowed to be made.

Watched landman and it was good for the first couple of episodes and then the son starting boofing a sheila who's husband had died just literally days before. Dude was in the ground still warm. That was idiotic enough but the daughter, mother subplot was even more ridiculous. 17 year old daughter talking to her mum about not being able to get pregnant because the boyfriend is fucking her up the arse.

Yeah nah.

Season 2 is out but I won't be watching it.

Muz the wife is hooked on it so I watch anyway for the heck.
Yer the son sketchs are pretty lame, real stupid and you got it the mother daughter tag team are OTT - what a fruit loop the daughter is.
I kind of giggle when the Mum is going to give Dad a headjob whilst they are on the freeway mind you - I'm nudging the Mrs's hahaha or when she facetimes him wanting to exhibit some flesh, reminds me of the ol days lol......

The prob today is you've seen all the good stuff worth watching evrything else is B grade or worse now - they can't produce quick enough to keep up with demands.

I started watching 'House of Guinness' on Netflix last night.

It's set in Victorian era Dublin and is as you'd about expect about the trials and tribulations of the famous Guinness brewing family....

For anyone who watched the 'Peaky Blinders' series' House of Guinness is written and produced by the same guy and has a very similar aesthetic.

Yer wife sounds normal, but keep watching the Penny Wong AI pornos

Certain films I've seen plenty of times I always pause and look at things. Sometimes a scene is filmed in a studio or the background props have nothing to do with imagery. Always interesting to wonder how much though they put into certain scenes.

Was in NY the first time and mum said, this is Bleeker Street here. My brain had this absolute flashback from watching Ninja Turtles a million times over where they were in the sewers and said they had to go to 11th and Bleeker. Thing is, I'd never understand what that the word was Bleeker, let alone what it meant. Lot of those moments watching films again as an adult.

Some Home Alone quiz questions

What did Uncle Frank forget to pack with him on the trip to Paris?

Which branch of US armed forces can be seen behind the family when they pass Kevin's bag along?

Absolute expert and I can't even name them all but if someone could recall the order of siblings and cousins which Kevin's bag was passed along at the airport would win the pub quiz prize.

Went on one of those corny movie site tours in NY and Colombus circle certainly has its fair share but the best is Crocodile Dundee's knife.

enjoyed watching Bank of Dave and 2 - light hearted good feel stuff.
Landman been ok.
I'm a car nut so most of the netflix series's been viewing, really likje Gotham Garage, Texas Mex Motors and similar - light hearted humour is Comedians In Cars with Jerry Seinfield hosting, he drives a different "classic" each time picking up a guest foir a drive and coffee.
I'd luv to have a business like these but not viable here, not enough people of large enough market.

Ricky Gervais, Mortality - anytrhing by this guy ticks the box's.

Can't remember if I have mentioned it before - but Taboo with Tom Hardy is a bloody good watch.

Clever, entertaining, funny in places and really well done.

Tom Hardy against the Honourable East India Company.

I have watched the series a few times and enjoyed it every time.

Binge and Foxtel according to Google.

On a lighter note, and for those who can watch young adult/teen based shows without being overcome by embarrassment, Lockwood & Co is one of my favourite 'go back and watch again when I am bored' series. Has the added bonus of letting you look for London landmarks you may have visited on a trip sometime. Unfortunately it only had one season so you have to buy the books (or read them somewhere free) if you want to know how it all ends.

Dead Detectives is a more adult version of the young adult supernatural investigator type story - enjoyable and entertaining if the genre is within your scope but not with the same feeling as Lockwood & Co.

Father with guns trying to rescue his daughter. Yeah dozens of films like it. Hollywood just plucks a tried and tested theme from their shelf and rolls it out again and again.
I have to admit that I am skipping past a lot of that specific themed movies now.

Used to love them but they grew very tired and repetitive.

Taken with Liam Neeson is probably the last one that I really enjoyed.

Improbable fight scenes of solo man with guns taking down the overwhelming forces arrayed against him just doesn't cut it anymore for me.

The Equalizer movies 1 and 3 with Denzel Washington were also really well done - although not exactly father/daughter in nature.

Nobody, despite its ridiculously cheesy ending, was a great "man against mob" romp too.

Nobody was my favourite of the lot.. Such an over the top parody that I didnt want it to end... All the other take themselves far too seriously to be even remotely believable but Nobody was just this director saying "lets make Sharknado but with a guy beating up Russian mobsters on a bus".
