With all the anger at Israel after the war, I am surprised there hasn’t been more fucking idiots around the world targeting people with links to Israel.

These people would probably find an excuse to do something fucked up anyway, but it would be stupid for countries in wars with large civilian deaths to not think it would be used as motivation for violence by fuckheads. The years of Isis showed us the world is not short of moronic deadshits getting exploited by fringe elements of their communities.

I am sure mossad have been expecting something horrific as this, even if Netanyahu is trying to pin it on albanese.

Was listening to the radio before. A Jewish leader was saying more needs to be done by our government to combat anti semitism. But when they asked what he wanted to see he couldn’t give a direct answer.

I’m not sure what they can do there? It seems to me like they’ve reacted with lots of resources to investigate anything that’s happened.

If these shooters were linked to an ISIS terrorist cell in Australia and that link was still ongoing then they would probably have to have been in some sort of contact with ISIS's active units in Syria or Iraq or maybe some of their global affiliates, at some point...

If this is the case then with their extensive intelligence collection, covert operations, and global counter-terrorism cooperation, I'd suggest that Mossad and their partners would have probably been privy to some sort of information about the potential of this attack beforehand.

As opposed to...

Netanyahu was claiming that the guy who tackled the bellend was a Jew. Got quickly debunked, but never clarified or anything like that. Just kept going.

Unfortunately there will always be political opportunists who will use a tragedy like this. Not just on the hard right but the hard left too. And by any other stretch of the imagination, Netanyahu is a political opportunist bar none.

The difference being that all these people were widely condemned by their respective communities whereas the Islamic communities will openly celebrate these acts of terrorism.

We can’t just ignore that a not-so-insignificant portion of the Islamic community are not only happy these sort of things occur, but they are comfortable enough in their hatred that they can openly celebrate these acts on the streets of Sydney.

I honestly can’t tell if my views have been warped by social media (hence I have deleted all social media) but I really question why we allow people from countries that openly hate our way of life immigrate to our country.

You clearly are not surrounded by anyone that is Muslim.

To your last point, you do realise the way Australia started? The British weren't very nice to the local population..

Talk about a poor take.

This sort of stuff is my worry. We shouldn't use two bad people to paint the brush of a whole community. We have to be better than this. The people involved should be punished, not anyone else.

A lot of them celebrated the attacks, and suggested more is to come for New Years.

Some even went as far to mention Ahmed Al Ahmed is not a real muslim for stopping the attacks.

Sick Fucks.

Do you want me to post videos of people celebrating in Western Sydney, letting off fireworks, the night after October 7 or two days later when a thousand or so went to the Sydney Opera House and chanted “gas the Jews” champ?

Those are just the few I found in 30 seconds, that were released immediately after the attack. So go on. Do the thing that the right often does and pretend to play dumb and just continue to push the narratives that suit them.

Here I am, a Muslim, who follows the religion in private, who loves Australia, and has fallen in love with everything about this place. I froth a bbq, and have my Broncos stubby cooler next to the couch for my non-alcoholic drinks when I watch the games. I participate in time honoured traditions at events and in my social life. I respect every individual Australian to live their life the way they feel comfortable. An example of all you claim Muslims to not be, yet you insist that Muslims are violent hateful vitriolic, and that all 2 billion of us are the same. The first rule of Shariah is to follow the laws and to respect the people and values of the land in which you live. If you can't do that, you are not following what your religion tells you, and therefore, not practicing Islam properly.

Has social media warped your thinking? I'd say yes. It certainly has fucked with mine.
