Sign Up Now!Exactly right.... I know its just a gimmicky tournament style thing for now, but its just good to have the club up and about againI couldn't sleep on Saturday night. Was just that excited. We have not felt that level of excitement for such a long time. It has been 9 years since our last state championship and 26 years since our last national championship.
We finish the 2025 season with the following silverware:
FV Community Shield
FV Dockerty Cup
FA Australian Championship
Not bad for a team that was facing relegation in May.
Watching the replay, I got the feeling Tolios was wishing he could run out to the grandstand with flare in hand and chant with the rest of us..Some of the images captured from Saturday's Grand Final have been amazing.
I think Football Australia would be happy with how the Grand Final panned out from a crowd and TV perspective.
Any idea if we've organised some summer friendlies for the next few months? Need to ensure our second stringers are staying fit to deal with the onslaught of games we'll cop in the early months of 2026
Our first match is 18th Jan in Auckland - enough time for a 2-3 week break for Christmas and back at it.... Some of these guys have played 44 matches over NPL, Dockerty, Australia and Championships this year... PLUS a few friendlies during two preseasons... The peasants from OV like to push the narrative of record breaking season for match time but by the time next season finished some of our guys may have well played 80 matches on the trot....Any idea if we've organised some summer friendlies for the next few months? Need to ensure our second stringers are staying fit to deal with the onslaught of games we'll cop in the early months of 2026
Yes and no - I can see the players moving between both competitions. The 23 players that make the OFC Pro League squad have to be on professional contracts and also have to be in our NPL squad so fair to say our strongest team will be playing in these OFC Pro League games.
Oli was also signed for the championshipKhaddour was just signed for the championship, believe he is gone. Habib is not a prolific scorer, we will need to sign another forward.
Lavale will likely look for an A League contract. Hoping for our sake he doesn't, so he can play in both the OFC Pro League and NPL competitions.Oli was also signed for the championship
Soccer never Sleeps at South.... our club is now more prolific than A League clubs! Never mind Heidelberg!
