Question: why do people who can understand English respond to questions in another language?

I suppose one feels they can express themselves better in another language but if you're bilingual you'll just chop and change.

I do find it weird when you know someone can speak English very well but they still speak another language.

Game's gone, there's no need for a halftime show in a World Cup final and I hope that this is just a one-off and doesn't carry over to subsequent cycles.
Not to mention MetLife is a terrible ground. One curved rail line. Some shuttles from Penn and no roof. It probably won't rain. A bus can't hold that many people. Don't think they can squeeze on any more services and they'll want it to be cost effective. Otherwise it should be maximally long rail services even 6 hours before kick off. There's nothing to do out there though.

Yeah it’s a thing I’ve noticed with my family too - although they do it within a sentence, and around other family (so will know they speak that language)

But to do it on a public stage like this I just find weird. Especially since there’s no captions ffs

48 teams
Small nations
Expensive tickets
Huge Stadiums that will be half empty

First stadium to have WrestleMania and World Cup final though (although that honour almost went to the LA Coliseum in 1994)

Finally they're getting the draw proper underway, hopefully it pans out well for the Socceroos so at least we have a chance of making the knockouts when the World Cup rolls around.

Can we talk a little bit more about ticket sales and how it's called soccer in the US and not football. There's not been enough of that for my liking.
