I so glad people are "coming back" to the club but it does feel bittersweet that a hardy few of us had to but up with so much bitterness to get to this place..

Take it as a badge of honour that you stood by your club through the good and the bad.

That's what makes Saturday's match more special for us who have been on this NPL journey.
 
I understand not going to as many games as people did during the nsl era, but there’s been plenty of enjoyable state league era matches to attend in the decades since. I get there’s been some grim games in the past 20 years at this level but I don’t get why someone would stop attending entirely
 
Screw the crowd, any sort of persistent rain may screw up our long throw routine. Who could forget Max not being able to reach the box in the 2022 grand final with the ball slipping out of his hands!

As for suited and booted street talk in Oakleigh...the less said the better.

You're right - we suffocate them by denying them the ability to play their style of football.

The difference this time is that the quality of our squad as compared to that Dockerty Cup Grand Final win is day and night apart. We now have a great striker (Aguek), great midfielder (Giannakopoulos) and a great winger (Uchida), plus A League players such as Pasquali and Lavale. That's some serious quality. Lets hope the last 2 months has been enough for the team to really gel enough together.

I keep saying this - we need to be more clinical and efficient up front. We cannot afford to miss too many goal scoring opportunities.

Nah I sort of get it, I stopped coming to Hellas after NSL folded for a 7-8 years ... but I dislike the negative comments I hear about how shit it all is now compared to the "good ol days" ... yeah we know...
