That exactly why FA did it, my poor koubaro called me in panic on Monday saying he was gonna buy us tickets online because our regular spots where all sold out...

I just feel sorry for the johnny come lately's who will rock up expecting to sit where they paid for... Im not gonna move from where we always sit, its bad luck :)

Lets get to the nitty gritty.

In all seriousness, we are going to have to play the near-perfect match against Heidelberg. I hate to say it but they are a very good team.

As you mentioned @southmelb, the large pitch at Lakeside Stadium actually suits Heidelberg. It wouldn't surprise me if we applied a similar tactical approach as we did against NWS Spirit - suffocate their ball playing style and try and control the midfield, as well as elements of Estebanball too.

Psychologically - we've beaten them before in the Dockerty Cup Grand Final . That team was much more inferior to what we have today. If we can manage to go a goal up, Heidelberg will open and create space for us to attack on the counter..

We pretty much have to play like we did against Spirit, they need to be tightly marked and we have to turn it into a scrap, if we win the territory battle we can bombard them with our aerial arsenal, the more repeat long throws/set pieces we create the more time the ball spends away from our box. We have very very good players now but the reality is our team has only been together for 2 months whilst they've played almost 50 games together, they are simply more fluid and more likely to smash us in an open game.

Disregard the 6 goals they scored last weekend, most of them was just metrostars playing suicidal balls out from the back and giving away gifts. Heidelberg could have easily copped 2-3 goals themselves, they are very gettable if you put them under pressure with direct play.

We have a terrible recent record against them at Lakeside and they are very fsmiliar with the ground having recently played 2 finals there. That said they are pretty much impossible to beat at the village so i'll take Lakeside and a hostile crowd.

Thats what I think too - "they are very gettable if you put them under pressure with direct play."

Lakeside being narrow plays into our new found strength of holding the midfield.. I dont think we will be as aggressively direct as the Spirit game, Sinisa is a cautious cat when he needs to be... I also think we will be little "milder" in attack, maybe Aguek and Bonada as a front two

To be honest Dandenong City were all over them in the npl gf and the keeper won the game for Heidelberg.

My gut feel is that the Bergers might change it up and go direct against us. I dont see them playing the high risk out from the back they normally play in such a high stakes game.

They rode their luck a few times this championship too... Its actually going to be fascinating contest on the pitch.
The derby element and the ill feeling between the clubs, players and fans aside, this could be a classic cup match.
