You got me on the semantics of a rivalry vs a derby, consider me educated... yet again no actual answer to anything of relevence presented though! For the fuckin last time, the big blue is not a fuckin derby! Derbies are played by teams in the same town/city, not 900km's away. And you think you know football, may be you are the tosser.
to be fair this thread was made so people could yell each other in peace and not de-rail other threadsKnew the man would be played. Get a hobby bro, picking arguments on a football forum isn’t one.
Only due to your lack of intelligence to comprehend. You got me on the semantics of a rivalry vs a derby, consider me educated... yet again no actual answer to anything of relevence presented though!

Yes, but the two big sports (in Australia) play in hybrid leagues where it is not an even draw and a maximum 30- week season. Even the kids barely play for six months. It is buried into the psyche of the average Aussie.Im truly convinced it isnt the sporting culture, Australians are mad for sport, its the deep connection to clubs that we lack... The miserable existence of the mid table football fan back in Europe or South America, were you know your getting spanked every week but you turn up because... well you've got nothing else to do and thats where all your matres are anyway.
My Leeds mate has mentioned it also.Roses ??? Please enlighten me old fella.
Can honestly say I have never heard it called this and i have known quite lot of supporters of each club. The Yorkshire , Lancashire thing is known as the roses match in cricket and formerly in English rugby league rep matches. You could basically call any matches between Yorkshire and Lancashire teams, “ the roses “. Derby matches in the UK are between teams from the same city/ town. Not saying your mate is wrong BTW.My Leeds mate has mentioned it also.
Of course you’ll say something but I no care….ill take his word.
the Roses Derby, a fierce rivalry between Leeds United and Manchester United football clubs. The rivalry stems from a combination of historical conflicts: the 15th-century War of the Roses between the Houses of York (Leeds) and Lancaster (Manchester), and competition between the two cities during the Industrial Revolution. Matches are highly anticipated and charged with passion from both fan bases.
Hahaha, Sure champ....as always just more bs and no actual answers, but like i said, we are all aware of whatba tosser you actually are.Only due to your lack of intelligence to comprehend.

"Derbies are played by teams in the same town/city, not 900km's away. And you think you know football, may be you are the tosser." I guess others (official fan club mind you) closer to the actual match that view it as a derby are wrong! Off you gp to educate them!
