A win against Preston in a convincing manner would be the dream!

Sign Up Now!100% this... From the couch the weather did look appalling though...Our defending tonight was nothing short of diabolical.
We could have conceded within the first 2 minutes, but thankfully the quality of Uchida shone through to create our opening goals.
The Moreton first goal was a real cracker, but the second one was completely avoidable. Lopez to blame. The third goal infuriated me as we were so lax at the back, no urgency, no desire to run down balls. Jankovic should have provided more defensive coverage.
Granted the coach rested a number of players and made a number of substitutions at halftime, but there was no excuse for not taking out the 3 points. I’m hoping the coach really hammers home the point during training that such performances will get us knocked out in finals matches.
Just glad we didn’t lose any players to injuries or suspensions.
If Jake is back Tommy will play DM role and Menelaou on bench... Javi wasn't much at fault apart from that one stupid swing and a miss at a cross for their second goal in blinding rain...Has Menelaou shown enough to stay in? Because if we go with that im putting Giannokopoulos at CB again like last week. If Jankovic doesnt want to lift his intensity we wont win regardless. These guys have to be even more switched on now that Lopez best days are likely behind him.
We need massive games from our gun attacking recruits next week to compensate for the defensive shit show.
Was hoping for Canberra for a decent crowd but much rather the Koalas than Preston...NWS Spirit won’t be easy. These are the types of matches we have stuffed up in the past. Spirit will not be facing any pressure. They’ve got nothing to lose.
I get the excitement, but no need to disrespect the Australia Cup...
Haha the koalas, never heard that one beforeWas hoping for Canberra for a decent crowd but much rather the Koalas than Preston...

Magic of the Cup !Agreed. Aus Cup is the best, purest comp we have in aus club soccer
Agreed, and we certainly have played home finals more recently than 21 years agoAgreed. Aus Cup is the best, purest comp we have in aus club soccer
Hahahaha Yeah I figured as much, Im excited too....Australia Cup is different to a league style finals match - I think that's what the club meant.
now you know what those little buggas are renowed for and its quite toxic stench about it hahahaHahahaha I would have thought it's their natural nickname, they seem to love the chubby little fleabags.![]()

Should be a fascinating game to be honest. They play quite narrow at times which will suit us, yet they also like the risky counter and cough up the ball too easily sometimes... This game might have lots of goals in it....now you know what those little buggas are renowed for and its quite toxic stench about it hahaha
I hazard to guess they decided on the little furry fellas for the logo because the association is similar to your Dandy area being all around bush skippy the roo settings.
I'd say you guys place around the ground piles of gum leaves and you'll win hands down![]()
Welcome to the forum.Khodder is poor, JPA better option.
Problems stem from midfield where Leech, Pasquali & Menelaou are timid & not ball winners / tacklers & all 3 do not have a fwd pass as part of their game that open up opposition. Pope is just a runner /grafter & not a link man. Mikkola all year been poor generally only 2 goals in 3025 & 1 being the overhead kick gifted to him by Schroens slip. Lavale, Dovison, Bilal & Mesa are are flattered to be wearing the smfc shirt. Jankovic been sloppy looks tired.
Marshall leaving & big risk to play against Preston ion a physical encounter - best if they miss out & play Spirit in QF - coach should reshape midfield
