The Australian Championship šŸ‡¦šŸ‡ŗšŸ†

Problem is they’ve scheduled the semis for a 1pm and 3pm kick offs on a Saturday! It just beggars belief that Football Australia can’t see that they are reducing the exposure and attendance of those 2 massive games in those time slots irrespective which team qualifies.

Playing 1pm & 3pm in summer is even more fucking stupid than when Sydney or CCM play at 5pm. These times may be a TV requirement I suspect.

only hope being that its still not the heart of summer to have us frying!

Not solely id argue, if anything it would make perfect sense for SBS to want it prime time, i suspect it has a lot more to do with the seperation issue, APL & PFA pressure reagrding the times played their hand early and the FA giving in!

A agree about koff times in the midst of summer but damn if you do damned if you don’t……
Will always be a bone of contention on players performance and then supporters attending no matter the time.
In the big picture we got what we got being the minnow code we are here and the added differences we the game has.
We just got to accept what’s put up in front us support it as it grows things may prevail to better koff times if they see it can be a new cash cow things will change.

I was and would be of the exact same mentality if all was put on the table from the start!

The problem is that the previously mentioned were not just consulted but their demands met, hard to trust an org that couldnt/disnt want to back its own comp fully, it brings back those questions about perhaps wanting it to not be primely succesful.

yer I hear you - can't trust anything on this - it boggles me we never see any PR or a peep from the FA who afterall are behind it in the first place......
Or is it the Feds who should be more visible PR support - I just don't know.
All we can do is back it which is frustrating not seeing anything from our Orgs.

This should be a good round for crowds based on whose at home.

Hopefully we can get over 2k, weather no good and melbourne derby on later that night. Wonder if Preston fans will come out to support broadmeadow.

why is the aleagues crowds interested in our crowds, for their kicks sake - semi pro league that has had no where near any backing or exposure.
Or am I reading this wrong.

Combination of fear and hypocricy..
They use the term 'abysmal' yet tell us not to believe our eyes or the tv at their empty stadiums (proven hypocrites)... the fear factor remains real for many (not all) obviously... yet some of us were the ones 'with issues' for pointing out the facts and dispelling their lies...

yer HG I don't mind seeing stats as well but as long as its relative for the purpose.
They are just doing that imo for a pat on their backs - for what, sweet FA and they can bant amongst themselves on reddit or wherever they hord around.

Yeah there are certainly a few online ruling out an NST based on these numbers. Funnily enough I think the numbers support the opposite, there are at least half a dozen clubs that could step up to A-League.

Is this from Facebook, as i looked and couldn't find it.

correct - NPL clubs are starting from a very low base, overall nothing to sneeze at - its a good start out of season.
Bonus having SBS behind it great platform.
Yes imagine some of our Clubs being Pro one day in our right our own comp, would compete with AL clubs week in week out.
This can only be POSITIVE for Oz football and the many players beneath who are restricted/held back by our league structures.

The problems i have seen at Sydney with players signed directly from the NPL, is they struggle to adapt to being full time. They shine in the first few games, then tail away and end up back in the NPL.

well thats understandable Sutho - I have seen also.
I'm sure there is many thoughts there and it would be interesting to get a AL clubs outlook but that again would be their own POV, how AP clubs percieve the cheap investment, do they see all the years investment in their academy players having pref ? is the NPL player welcomed feel at home ? is he looked down on ? is he given time to learn and melt into their system ? <<< I think this one is very impirtant, do they the buyer have the patience ? I don't think so.
Hardly think a guy early 20's can't adapt being full time.
Plus they don't buy U20's that I have seen much they buy tried/up and coming proven, is it under injury stress they buy ? and expect bonus great buy performance in short time.
That top scoring SMH forward Sawyer bought by Bulls, he's disappeared for eg, why ?
APIA player Jordan Murray - 18/19 the guy couldn't put a foot wrong, 23 goals 19 games - overall record 63 games/43 scored, something doesn't add up - he's since been in India/Thailand/Brunie making a good buck
Another top performing NPL player went to CCM if I recall right similar to above, didn't last as well.
Therefore its not just about the NPL player/buy - why do they not kick on - it can't be just the NPL players very quick demise there's more to it.
Surprisingly Lochie Rose - came from NPL2 plucked from where my son played with him.
He was magic there got to say and friggin good luck to him, he's lasted now 4 getting onto 5 seasons in AL.
Why whereas others not.
