Geez thats heavy stacked on one side if it stays like that, with 3 of the 4 most popular sides on one end!No, no idea, that was just a repost on my part. But those are the match ups at this point in time
All we know is what was announced highest foundation club hosts quarter... my understanding as per FA announcement is 'they retain semi final and final commercial rights..' this can mean anything for semi, i have feeling they waiting to see who qualifies and then will decide venue bc i dont know if there is a pathway anywhere other than one that came up way prior to competition kick off. IMO anything in Melb should go Lakeside, our ground has undisputedly proven time and time again that its the most ideal for events! All good
Pretty sure the fa retaining rights is how it worked in the a league when it was still under their umbrella. It didn’t necessarily mean it was a neutral venue, it just mean that they organised it and gate takings went to them. I guess we’ll have to seeGeez thats heavy stacked on one side if it stays like that, with 3 of the 4 most popular sides on one end!

Did someone tell Apia that?? HahahahaAvondale v Marconi in one semi and either South v Heidelberg or Preston v Heidelberg in the other semi are the likely scenarios. These are absolute dream fixtures. As i said in the South thread these knockout games need to be played in prime time to maximise attendance.
Hosting rights are pretty straight forward here, lakeside gets melbourne rights and marconi hosts the other side of the draw.
Problem is they’ve scheduled the semis for a 1pm and 3pm kick offs on a Saturday! It just beggars belief that Football Australia can’t see that they are reducing the exposure and attendance of those 2 massive games in those time slots irrespective which team qualifies.Avondale v Marconi in one semi and either South v Heidelberg or Preston v Heidelberg in the other semi are the likely scenarios. Surely when you get to semis and finals you don’t worry about clashes and just put the final at prime time ffsProblem is they’ve scheduled the semis for a 1pm and 3pm kick offs on a Saturday! Apia may be on our side of the draw, at least on current standings.Did someone tell Apia that?? Hahahaha

For those who have watched the Marconi games thus far, what do people think of the south Sudanese international akio? Imo he’s been getting better with every game as he settles in, great signing, no idea what he was doing playing in the act npl, no disrespect. Hopefully Marconi can secure him for a decent little stint and he doesn’t just move on after this comp is overFor us down here, the Australian Championship is probably the first time we've seen a lot of the NSW teams and its players. He is a very good player, and would walk into the South squad easily.
If 3 of the 4 teams are from Melbourne, you’d assume they would be played at either Lakeside or AAMI Park.AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP | FINALS SERIES

Am I reading that right, highest placed foundation club to host qf, so would that potentially mean bayswater v Marconi would be at the Marconi club?AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP | FINALS SERIES

Based on that logic yesAm I reading that right, highest placed foundation club to host qf, so would that potentially mean bayswater v Marconi would be at the Marconi club?
Interesting, I missed that little detail up until now, was under the impression it was just the highest placed. Makes a massive difference in the case of a potential Marconi v Bayswater clashBased on that logic yes
For our standards, having said that we still managed;Sydney United have been below par all season, no surprise to us NSWNPL types.
