Sign Up Now!look, I'm happy for people to be themselves and I didn't do any modding (I was happy sutho directed his grumpy old men routine my direction, so I left it alone) but similar to when ashton told richie to stick to cricket, I don't like it when newish posters get treated with unprovoked hostility. So I am going to speak up in moments like thatGot to say Sutho’s comments were nothing harsh or OTT.
He didn’t play the man harsh just made a point - some would read yikes some wouldn’t bat a eyelid.
Besides I hope we keep some kind of balanced rope in banter and all instead taking things offensive or being told to pull back unless it’s bleating abuse.
Hostility? Man, you have no idea what hostility is if you think that. It’s called “fishing”,ie: looking for bites.look, I'm happy for people to be themselves and I didn't do any modding (I was happy sutho directed his grumpy old men routine my direction, so I left it alone) but similar to when ashton told richie to stick to cricket, I don't like it when newish posters get treated with unprovoked hostility. bit of politeness to new people won't kill them.Sure I hear you - maybe different approach is to advise the new poster not to take comments to harm till they settle in - treat like a sub coming on - they have to warm up to the contest and banter that has been brewing long before they entered the arena.
Christ these angry men gifs etc are so weak for your own parents or relos are in that same bucket but I luv them - reminds me of Johnny warrens saying I told you so haha
You all come from far wiser humans who donated sperm to enter into your woke world lol….
I had a spreadsheet a few years ago. Sunday was a deadzone. Saturday night a little higher than the arvo. But surprisingly the midweek night matches rated the highest, I'm guessing because people prefer to stay home and watch and there's no other sport on.Any ratings guru people - do we know if saturday evening matches rate better than satirday arvo?
Also sunday evening v sunday arvo
By slightly do u mean 10 percentish or 50percentish?I had a spreadsheet a few years ago. Sunday was a deadzone. Saturday night a little higher than the arvo. Can't remember mate. I'll see if I can dig it up next time I'm on the pcBy slightly do u mean 10 percentish or 50percentish?
Looks like my spreadsheet from a few years ago was only looking at the highest and lowest youtube ratings, so take it however you like it haha.Any ratings guru people - do we know if saturday evening matches rate better than satirday arvo?

so the championship probably being hurt mostly by being mostly on sundayLooks like my spreadsheet from a few years ago was only looking at the highest and lowest youtube ratings, so take it however you like it haha.
Of the top 20 most watched matches there wasn't a single Sunday match in it... an interesting thought about five matches on Sunday for the Championship! The ALM breakdown of the most watched times:
Tuesday - 2
Wednesday - 2
Thursday - 3
Friday - 10
Saturday evening - 1
Saturday night - 3
Considering the few midweek matches during a season, most of them made the list!
Of the least watched match times:
Saturday evening - 9
Saturday night - 1
Sunday afternoon - 8
Sunday evening - 6
Sunday night - 1
That one Saturday night match was a late night Perth match.
So, as far as ALM goes, Friday night is the youtube winner. But I suspect Saturday night would have numbers taken away from it as it was also on FTA. And I think the Sunday arvo match was on FTA back then as well, so it might look worse here.
A Glimmer of light, hopefully.
You might be on to something. I've noticed 9's AFL staff slowly migrating to 7.I actually wonder if Ch9/Stan are lining themselves up to have a crack at the AL. They seem to be a lot more friendly towards football since they got the EPL rights.

With the A League they'd have to produce the entire operation. That can be just as expensive as buying the tv rights when you add it all up.
That is also my recollection. As far as I know, they already do! It was some time around the swap from Fox to P+, APL started their own production.

For instance, to produce just one live sports production with a linear broadcast model, it can cost between $40,000 to $150,000 per game.
Ordinarily, this isn’t a problem. When a league has sold its content to a broadcaster - and the advertising dollars exceed costs of production as well as the broadcast and advertising rights paid to the league to forego their right to broadcast - then the model works.
I love TNT Sports! They have Champions League, EPL, A-League, and UFC.It's not so much the cost of buying tv rights that will hinder any future A League deal, more the cost of production of games...
When Stan buy tv rights to say the Champions League they know that once they've signed the deal that will include the cost of production too.
All they do is pick up the world feed and stream it on their platform. Unless they're doing a studio show of course but I've noticed on CL nights they just take the UK TNT Sports studio show pre and post game, rather than Bozza and Fozza talkin' shyte....
