The Perth Glory thread

Why is everyone so down on Kisnorbo?

I'd happily take either him or Aloisi as coach.

Need a high profile coach on this occasion, Aloisi would be ideal, would create a buzz around town.

Dont want Kisnorbo.

Squad is all over the place so a tough gig for anyone who takes it on.
TBH I don't think that they are that bad. Need a change of formation, and judicious substitution, they can be competitive. Aloisi would be good for the team, Kisnorbo doesn't have the brains to develop game plans and when to make substitutions.

This is by far the worst Glory team in the worst top flight soccer comp ever in Australia.

Honestly....the A-league should fold. This is beyond putrid.

Not a chance, last years team was somehow even worse.

I disagree.
Last year was pretty bad, but this year we are diabolical. Even Taggart is out of form. There's only about 3 or 4 decent players in this team and then a huge drop off in talent.

The tactics are horrific. That Brian Kaltak is a mess at the back. He passes to the wing backs only to get the ball back and try the other side and back again. After a high press, we lay back to keeper who boots it to nowhere.

If you are going to pass left and right with no way forward, stop pussy footing and just play it up forward. Losing it from a goalkeeper bomb is no better.

The problem with this season is that every team is weak. The whole comp is a shadow of itself and most likely now worse than NPL level.

The game is in serious crisis.

It was quite evident the tactics yesterday were different to what we had with Zdrillic. We had more possession than the opposition, unfortunately we have zero midfield, and zero creativity.

Whilst I agree that Kaltak has been bad, the reason he keeps passing out wide is because our midfield is atrocious and don’t provide options.

I would rather they try to play, learn from there mistakes, rather than booting forward with no purpose. But until we get some half decent midfielders, who can actually control the game, we are screwed.

Every team has progressively been getting worse over the years, but that was totally expected with the cut in salary cap.

I think it's also fun to watch new coaches get a chance. The merry go round is boring

I really hope Kisnorbo does not get another opportunity in the A-League. Ross Aloisi has to be on big money at Shanghai Port, but I guess he might be tempted by a head coach position?

He had a head coach job at Roar, didn't seem to be enough for him to stick around. He had Roar playing well too (8W 2D 4L).
