If that's the case, and they were previously warned about it, then they will struggle to get that punishment overturned on appeal.I believe the -3 for Heidelberg is due to the conduct of the players celebrating/inciting the opposition players after scoring, it happened at Prestons ground and then the 2nd time they did it in the semi final triggered the 3 point deduction.
Thats weak as piss if true lol.
FFV sound like a bunch of cunts.
Preston should appeal that punishment. Its excessive. We were always going to be made an example of.
Ridiculous ruling
Louie Acevski has done a great job at Preston. Probably a good move for him to remain part of the club. He’s still going to be at the club as a technical director
Someone from the Heidelberg side of the fence (don't know if they're an actual Heidelberg fan but regardless) also through some sort of rock/brick projectile into the Preston crowd. Was dealt with fine by their stewards. Have to imagine there's more to it than just incitement (racist/xenophobic chanting? although that's a given and would've been worse among our supporters)I believe the -3 for Heidelberg is due to the conduct of the players celebrating/inciting the opposition players after scoring, it happened at Prestons ground and then the 2nd time they did it in the semi final triggered the 3 point deduction.
It was a rule for all 3 games played this season. Set by FVIf that's the case, and they were previously warned about it, then they will struggle to get that punishment overturned on appeal.
Seems to be the way in Europe, a big fine, closed doors, maybe even for a bunch of matches. Hurts the club, but I doubt the flare chuckers care, hopefully they never return.A big fine and 1-2 matches behind closed doors maybe as a punishment, but not a 9 point deduction. That is excessive.

they still doing the QLD Champions league thing for the QPL2 and QPL Regional (and I think might have been QPL3 as well?)![]()
Kappa Pro Series Returns to Bundaberg in 2026 - Football Queensland
Football Queensland (FQ) is bringing NPL Queensland football back to the Wide Bay region, with a men’s Kappa Pro Series fixture to be hosted at Bundaberg’s Martens Oval for the second consecutive year in partnership with Waves Sports Club. The fixture will see 2025 Australia Cup Quarter...footballqueensland.com.au
I was totally expecting Victory to lose points, surprised they didn't. They did lose a shit tonne of cash, fans, PR, and had other restrictions. How many years later and still haven't recovered? Easily the worst thing I've seen in recent times. Of course Preston fans weren't as bad, but they still threw flares at players didn't they? I think I'm remembering the right match? Honestly, just take the points hit, it lessens the cash hit and they're still in the Championship next year anyway. Just how I see it from the outside. You didn’t see a point deduction for Melbourne Victory after they stormed the pitch and launched a bucket at a player not saying what the Preston “Fans” was right but come on
Different governing bodies no? Football Australia not Football VictoriaYou didn’t see a point deduction for Melbourne Victory after they stormed the pitch and launched a bucket at a player not saying what the Preston “Fans” was right but come on
Do appeals cost clubs money?I suspect both clubs will appeal and win. Will just be fines

The Qld Champions League had the QPL Regional winner (a knockout comp between the winners of Wide Bay, Central, Whitsunday, North and Far North Regions from the previous season) playing the FQPL1 winner of the current season.they still doing the QLD Champions league thing for the QPL2 and QPL Regional (and I think might have been QPL3 as well?)
It really is between FQ and Capital Football for the biggest bastard award. I think they can share it.The Qld Champions League had the QPL Regional winner (a knockout comp between the winners of Wide Bay, Central, Whitsunday, North and Far North Regions from the previous season) playing the FQPL1 winner of the current season.
It has been canned for future seasons, under the guise of a "more inclusive" Qld Cup (which is the Australia Cup) competition, where all NPL, FQPL1-3 and FQPL Regional clubs are required to play in the Qld Cup (which they could already do previously anyway). Previously the regional clubs had the two potential competitions they could play in (Champions League and Qld Cup), now they only have one. This is FQ's way of "giving clubs from across Queensland the chance to compete on a state-wide stage" (quote from FQ news release of 16 Oct 2025). In essence, the clubs already had the opportunity to compete on a state-wide basis in the Qld Cup, and the other opportunity of state-wide competition (Champions League) has been removed.
So in fact there is now less opportunities for regional clubs.
FQ doing FQ things.
